Well technically didn't they initially try to blame it on a stiff mattress? Usually if you get a bad's night sleep and hurt your back, in a few days you show signs of improving.

That doesn't appear to be the case here.

No, it was a mattress that was too soft. One of those stupid pillow top things. I have a herniated disc in my back and there is nothing worse for it than sleeping with zero support.
