Seems odd, are either of these guys better than what we have currently? I must have been really wrong about Wilson..but I thought Smith played very well..?

Oh, I forgot about Tavon and his permanent injury existence. Percy Harvin 2.0

The Cowboys almost always carry at least 2 WRs on the practice squad.

They need WRs on the PS specifically for practice purposes.

They only have 1 WR on the PS now that Wilson is on the 53.

This weeks they should have these WRs available for the game:
Cooper
Cobb
Devin Smith
Tavon Austin
Cedrick Wilson

Tony Pollard can also play some snaps at WR.

FYI - Tavon Austin has not been overly injury prone in his career. About the same percent of games missed in his career as Dez.

Dez wants real money. Dez has diminished skills. Dez can't run routes. Dez can't separate.
All good reasons to let Dez matriculate over to the WR graveyard.
He could probably get separation in this offense,

Ha, I'll catch some heat for this, but I'd bring back Dez at veteran minimum just to see what he's got.

He's already motioned that he wants to retire a Cowboy.

Why? Lol. We have receivers who can actually run a route. And you want to bring in a guy who could never run a route? Lol. Ok.

Shouldn't Austin be back this week?

He missed the Skins game with concussion symptoms.
they didnt mention WHEN but said soon , I take that as by the NO game..but thats good we can afford a shirt wr core against MIA lol then just Gallup for 2-4 games..

Do you think Tavon will clear concussion protocol and be available for practice this week?

Hoping Smith and Wilson can step up. And Austin needs to be healthy.

WHY we have good depth for 2-4 games Ced and Devin?

seems like a waste.. I guess PS depth but id worry more about S..

... and if we get further dinged at WR and get injuries to Devin Smith and Cedrick Wilson ? ... and Austin is still in concussion protocol.
and is Jonvea Johnson's (practice squad) injured shoulder still in question ?

Going with 4 WRs wouldn't allow for any cushion in case of another injury. Besides, it would just be a temporary thing for a few weeks. We wouldn't have to keep the player on the roster long term.

The part about Dez being a locker room cancer can't be overlooked.

When I say bring in, I am thinking towards league minimum. With the knowledge it isnt his team anymore. We have good route runners now so him running the go routes making contested catches would basically be it. If anything left in the tank. He would have to know he isnt the star anymore. i would hope a couple of years without work would humble him.

I'd probably do it since we need WR depth. He'd have to be willing to apologise to his teammates like Sean Lee and take something near vet minimum. However, I think he'd be a good addition to have back here.
