As much as fans have hated Jerry for as long as they have, his players seem willing to lay on railroad tracks for him. How many former players have asked him to give their induction speech to the hall of fame?

I agree. Jerry has made his share of mistakes and has taken gambles that have not paid off but when people have said no quality player would ever want to play for Jerry they are sadly mistaken.

This is why Jerry is a good owner but a bad GM ...... he becomes too emotionally involved with the players.

Stephen is a cold hearted ******* ....... which is why he makes a good GM.

To Jerry, the majority of these guys are like adopted sons. Some more than others.
Dez is on a mission. I love it.

Love this Team Jerry and Red built. Love Dez for loving the Cowboys.

I don't think that makes him a bad GM. Emotionally involved or not, it's all about business decisions. That's when Jerry can get in trouble.

I see nothing wrong with loving your players, and them loving you back and wanting to play that much harder for YOU!

The Dallas Cowboys were at Levi's Stadium on Sunday for a meaningless preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.
However, wide receiver Dez Bryant found a ton of value in the exhibition match. Although sidelined with nearly half the team's starters as a precautionary measure, Bryant dressed out in full pads and envisioned himself making a return trip for Super Bowl 50.
Before the game began, Bryant spoke with owner/GM Jerry Jones. No. 88 had a chilling message for the long-time owner.
"Mr. Jones, you know why I want to be here in a few months?" Bryant told Jones in regards to the Super Bowl. "For you. I want to win this one for you."
Jones became emotional when retelling the story on 105.3 The Fan Tuesday afternoon. Jones treats Bryant as one of his own and their bond is quite strong.

Maybe I'm gettin old and missed out on word meaning, but how is that a CHILLING message? The definition I know is to "horrify or frighten (someone)."

Maybe they meant a a chilling message to our opponents?

Catch the ball this time and it just might happen!

But seriously, Dez is a great competitor.
