Since day 1, draft day, Stanback has recieved a truly amazing amount of hype. He has recieved more press and discussion than virtualy any other player that the Cowboys picked this year.

And yet I am very much looking forward to seeing him play. And hope that he measures up to the optimism.

Not all WRs (or QBs) are cut out for special teams. We'll see if Stanback is sturdy enough to play special teams without getting injured.

I bet he will bulk up in the off-season nevertheless. If he can retain his speed and agility he could become a monster player. He is an intelligent athlete.

He is already big enough, and any more size would be stupid for a WR... he is T.O. size it looks like.. there is a point where size just slows you down, and hinders your movement...

I'm excited, because he seemed pretty explosive when he played...

Ok I am sorry any player drafted 4th round or later can never be called a bust

How many 4th round picks even make it in the NFL let alone start or become a Pro-Bowl player

Agree on the first part.

Disagree on the 2nd. I would bet that there are more 4th rounders playing than 1st and 2nd rounders.

There are three posters that are generally negative about Stanback:

1. Edunce
2. Gimmeabetterschtick
3. Rampage (seriously, the other screenname was much better)

I think that speaks for itself, really.

People have argued his speed, but I thought he looked pretty fast. If this guy becomes a weapon, he would really cause match up problems w/ another tall receiver like TO. I wish TO was giving this guy tutelage.

Maybe he could be our Moss-type player (the impact that is).... no not saying he is just like Moss.... maybe just a threat like Moss

From what I have seen he looks fast but beside pure speed he looks like what they call a quick twitch player that can make another player look like he's standing still I think that's the part that gets me exicted.

As far as i know he had a Foot injury that lasted half the year, and a shoulder injury that lasted a week.

How does that make one fragile?

:signmast:

That's a good question and i haven't seen anybody address it. What other injuries has he had to make him be considered 'fragile'?
