did I hear great "soft" hands too?

I read somwhere that while he was rehabbing he was practicing his catching for long durations on some sort of pitching machine so the work ethic is there and from what I've heard intelligence.

Wait. Isn't he a pro bowler yet? :D

Yeah, I see what you're saying. 4th round picks rarely become superstars... so we shouldn't call Stanback a bust just because he doesn't become a pro bowler... or even if he is just a decent 3rd WR for that matter.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. 4th round picks rarely become superstars... so we shouldn't call Stanback a bust just because he doesn't become a pro bowler... or even if he is just a decent 3rd WR for that matter.

I want to clarify that I am not saying that a 4th round pick can not become a Pro-Bowl player or even a HOF player. I am saying any one that expects instant Pro-Bowl player from a 4th rounder or one that is going to see a lot of field time is off base. Does it happens some times yes but more often than not the guys work and develop the 1st few years.

I know Owen Daniels of the Texans has been solid for them over so far 1st year 34 catches 352yds 5 tds and so far this year 44 542yds. He also plays for a team that was in the lottery last year and is only .500 this year.

Maybe he could be our Moss-type player (the impact that is).... no not saying he is just like Moss.... maybe just a threat like Moss

...I don't understand that statement at all. I know you're not talking about Randy Moss, ... and Santana is probably even a stretch... maybe Sinorice? Yeah, it's entirely possible he'll be our Sinorice Moss.

Maybe even our Kate Moss, if he spends more time posing on the sidelines than actually playing.

Seriously though, I think he could be a terror in the slot if he puts in all together, I don't see him being a #2 and certainly not a #1 anytime soon. In what little I've seen of him, he seems to attack while running, as opposed to Tyson who was thinking way too much. Even Miles attacks his returns better than Tyson.

This type of player is always hit and miss - Crayton himself is a good example. Fondle Em is another guy who went from QB to WR. Last year it was that AR guy whats-his-name who went in the first round!!! But ths guy has skills, make no mistake. It will be interesting how the whole WR corps shakes down this offseason, with Glenn a question mark, Crayton becoming a FA, and nobody else separating themselves from the pack - yet.

You can't say that nor can you even put in your opinion of this because no one has seen enough of Stanback to make any kind of educated guess on whether he can be a #1 or #2 WR. Save this for next year when we get to see more of him in preseason games.

For someone who didnt understand my statement at all... you did a pretty job at answering the question to me... yourself

Theo pretty much said it all.

And on the list 'Roo posted, I don't see any obvious misses after what we did. Most people wrung their hands over DeOssie... Is he doing anything for the Giants?

Mickey and every other person I've ever heard who has met Isiah raves about the kind of person he is... Everyone says he's smart and hard-working. Add that to talent, and you usually end up with a player.

I'm just not sure what more people want, other than to troll.

The best player on your list isn't Daniels, it's Jhari Evans. (I didn't want to quote the list for bandwidth purposes).

If the Saints had a better record this year he's be a pro bowler. The pedigree hurts linemen, especially interior linemen, when it comes to recognition but one insider told me he thinks that Evans is a better player than Brown.

I just did.

and YoMick, I didn't understand because I thought you were refering to Randy Moss, which is impossible and since Santana is a #1 receiver, Stanback can't be that either. All of the "Moss" receivers in the league are either #1 receivers or nobodies.
