Cowboyszone Report Card...Alan Ball...GPA = 0.49

Think about this: there are only 64 starting positions for safeties in the league and he finished 78. F.

F. And if you don't know why you didn't pay attention last season.

I would have bet money Emiliano would give him an A.

Shocked me.

I didn't think anyone could make me wax nostalgic for Tony Dixon, but he did it.

F for Alan but also a big F for who ever thought that he was a starting caliber NFL FS.

He was a legit candidate for a FS shot, prior to last season starting. Now we know hes wasn't a legit FS.

The voting tendencies of The Great Emiliano cannot be predicted. They can only be anticipated. :D

And he was dead last, all alone among free safeties with the 7 TD allowed. No other free safety even tied with him.

This despite the fact that there were 57 other safeties who where thrown at more times than Ball.

Makes you wonder how many more TD he would have been held responsible for if he'd been close enough to more receivers to be "thrown at" (and how many fewer TD would have been blamed on the cornerbacks).

He should get a Z,he was that bad.I still cant believe our coaches trusted him to be our FS.

Or an A for *******.

Ball can share that grade with Wade Phillips because he's the one who thought Ball can play FS in his scheme.

Now come on have I been grading that poorly?

Dunno if I'd go that far. His only crime is having a staff that thought he could do it.

I have to think Campo had a hand in that decision as well.

Explain then why Alan Ball, the starting FS on the worst pass defense in the NFL got an A

I wasn't the one to give him an A, it was superpunk

Can we at least give him props for good attendance.

I dunno. If he missed some games we may have had better play from our D.
:p:
