Let’s be real. We can come out 6-0 of that stretch and the narrative will just be “Dak is great in the regular season. Show me in the postseason”

Buffalo and Miami are in December. Lots of things can happen between now and then. Tua has never finished a season I believe. A loss to SF is not the end all as it’s a tough game on the road in SNF. We will lose at some point folks. Heck it could be this week.

I actually think it’s a pretty good analogy that he made.
But the problem is the narrative is skewed to Dallas.

Philly barely beats a non playoff patriot team and a bad Vikings team. They are elite

SF beats average Pittsburgh team and non playoff Rams team. they are elite

Dallas beats playoff winning division rival historical measure, beats one of the Super Bowl favorites pre Rodgers injury and top 3 defense. It’s wait until they play somebody good!

Cowturd, Stephen A smith, That ex TE guy across from Skip. Heck even some of our own fans on here.
It can be tough being a Cowboys fan listening to so much FG moving crap. :muttley:

@ 49ers
Toss up. This will likely come down to who makes the most mistakes, Dak or Purdy. The typical "slug-fest" type of game.

@ Chargers
I think the Cowboys mop the floor with the Chargers. One team will score points and protect their D. The other will score points with no care for their D. KM will get embarrassed without a D like he had in Dallas. JMHO.

@ Eagles
vs Eagles
We will either split or sweep. Dak has a great record against the Eagles, 8-3, so I doubt the Cowboys lose both games.

@ Bills
I feel like the Cowboys D can force Josh Allen into mistakes since he seems to be careless with the ball. I don't feel like the Bills D can/will force Dak and the O into making the same mistakes. Won't be easy, and it's in Buffalo. So I would lean Cowboys, but not by much.

@ Dolphins
If they can contain Tyreke Hill, this will be a blowout. If not, Dallas could easily lose. Easier said than done, but I think we have the Secondary and Front 7 to make this possible. On O, the Dolphins are not good at producing turnovers, ranking T-30th last year and bottom half so far this year with 2. So I think the Dallas O could play mistake free against them and put up enough points to win as long as the D can contain Hill.
Dolphins im most worried about, they got some serious speed/talent on WR that can beat our secondary. Their oline isnt amazing but isnt as bad as the Jets/Giants lines were and Tua is very good. On their defense they have some good players sprinkled around plus Fangio coaching them, lets see if we can finally beat him.

So the Cowboys shouldn’t be blowing out these teams? If they were just squeaking by they would get blasted for not being good enough. Moral of the story, every talking head out there knows to talk about the Cowboys in an agonistic way because it gets ratings. Every idiotic show will have someone that plays the Cowboys hater.

All these "let's be honest" posts that proceed to deny the obvious historical facts are kinda funny/sad.

I never watch these shock jock talking heads, they're annoying as hell, but unless this team breaks the pattern of only feasting on lesser teams and actually wins half of those games he listed then his point stands.

All of these shows are scripted especially when it comes to Dallas. Is there an actual show out there that doesn’t do this? It’s so obvious with the Cowboys. Insert whatever show they will have the Cowboys antagonist on. Steven A has made a living off it. These shows are like professional wrestling. They talk about real topics but they are scripted.

A reminder that Cowherd still picked the Giants to beat the Cowboys and now is saying these things.

He isn’t wrong at all. Those 6 games against SF, LAC, PHI, BUF and MIA are the same games I had circled and imo the real barometer for this team. It doesn’t mean the other games on the schedule aren’t important or that they have to go 6-0, but you cant go 2-4 and look flat against that group either. Then you start to look like the big kid that only punks the smaller kids but gets his lunch ate by a real bully.

I agree with him. If the Cowboys defense keeps on playing the way they have been, I like our chances but if we have to rely on this offense in a shootout, then I would be nervous. I definitely trust this defense more than the offense. The defense has been coming out strong and if they continue to do that, I like our chances.

Cowherd comes up with narratives and then looks for stats to help make his point while not even bothering to look at counter arguments.

Almost every good team in the league beats up inferior ones while struggling against other good teams. He just ignores that Dallas beat Burrow with their backup QB and beat Hurts.

No wider respect for the Cowboys until they beat SF. Understandable.
Since when is San Fran the benchmark? They're losers. Check it out. No trophies since 1994. I don't care about moving goalposts. Beating San Fran means zero unless its along the way to a SB win. But a stand alone win against SF means squat. They're really no different than Dallas.

5 of the 6 are ROAD games. Even the Chiefs and Eagles wouldn't be expected to win more than 3 or 4. Nobody dominates elite teams on the road in the NFL

Hopefully San Francisco doesn’t prove to be our Buster Douglas.
