The weather?A better coach than we think? He's the one that was dismissing him a year ago. What has changed?
Folks seem to believe Cowherd just bashes the Cowboys, but he doesn't always. He trashes Aaron Rodgers daily, but that's another matter.
Here he compares Mike's resume' to coaches who tend to be held in higher regard.
I don't recall saying you specifically were hanging on the words of "Colon".Yeah, I'm hanging on his words because I watch/listen to the show.
The people who hang on the words of talking heads are the ones who get angry whenever one of them says something they don't like. I don't. It's just someone's opinion.
Cowherd has great guests every week - Jimmy was on today. He also does a weekly segment pointing out everything he got wrong the week before. Who else does that?
He got fired primarily because his QB was hurt. Rodgers broke his collarbone in 2017, missed most of that season, then tried to come back and play. The next year, he played on a fractured leg. McCarthy tried to make some adjustments to compensate, but Rodgers prickled at them and slandered him as Green Bay showed McCarthy the door.I mean, he got fired for something. No?
I haven't forgotten that Nolan, as his primary D - coordinator choice, not a good starting point look as well.
I'm not a fan as of his hiring or still now.
But let's see how it all plays out.
The best I got for him is a TBD so far.
He was hired based off his previous success to win playoff games.
Beat the 49ers and my opinion could be altered.
Same with the QB.
I believe it was Aikman that made this comment and it made sense at the time. Mike McCarthy was not hired by Booger to have a winning record, win wild card games or anything other than deliver him a 4th ring.
We have a lot of SB of bust fans here, why not have an owner that has arrived at that same point?
Isn't that what the owner of TB did when he fired Dungy and traded for Gruden? Dungy had a good record and had won some playoff games but had not delivered. Reid was really liked by Lurie but he had failed to deliver.
The turnover rate of HC's is a joke in the NFL, these 5 are the lowest it has been in 10 years and it's been as high as 9 in one season. I think they realize this guy isn't going to do it so they'll pay him off and bring in the next one. They go into it knowing the odds are he will not live out his contract. They even extend them and fire them the next year like AZ just did.
Kronke agreed to sell out and get his ring and the fallout from that has his young HC needing to take some time off. The pressure to deliver in the NFL is unrelenting and the hours long and arduous and can age these guys before our eyes.
I like McC and my heart went out to him when he had to handle questions from the media when Booger played that Payton game with him. He was a worm on a hot hook and as uncomfortable as I have ever seen any coach.
I can say he is easily the most underappreciated 12 win back-to-back HC I have ever seen but this comes back to what Aikman said and I think he's onto something there. The Sands of the Booger Hourglass are flowing faster.
Yep, and which team/coach is still playing and which is sitting at home watching the TV?He got fired primarily because his QB was hurt. Rodgers broke his collarbone in 2017, missed most of that season, then tried to come back and play. The next year, he played on a fractured leg. McCarthy tried to make some adjustments to compensate, but Rodgers prickled at them and slandered him as Green Bay showed McCarthy the door.
There are things that McCarthy could have done better those last two years, but it's not easy winning without your starting QB despite what he accomplished this season with Rush. Maybe that's because he's a better coach now who understands the importance of defense.
Although it really does helps more so having hall of fame QBs - such as Saints with Brees, .. GB with Rodgers .. Steve Young,... etc.I actually don't know that. I wonder what McCarthy would have done if he had Tom Brady all those years. He certainly would have won a lot more and he's already on equal footing with the best of those that didn't have Brady.
Belichick got fired in Cleveland, was just okay in New England until Brady and now we see what he's like without him.

At least he's consistently blowing with the wind.Cowturd will flip if we lose Sunday.
I just wish everyone would tune out these sports hacks on national tv. Pure garbage .At least he's consistently blowing with the wind.
I’ve never seen second-half adjustments since he’s been with us. It’s like we’re a different team coming out after halftime.
True click bait. Journalism lately is sensationalistic for the most part. A raven snatching snacks from a golf cart gets the same level of attention seeking hyperbole as a sniper attempt on a politician.I just wish everyone would tune out these sports hacks on national tv. Pure garbage .
It didn’t come out right. I meant to say like since he’s been here. That’s why it says we’re like a different team at half time. Sorry about that brother.lol...what? You have not seen any second-half adjustments, but it's like we're a different team coming out after halftime? Wouldn't that be a second-half adjustment? Color me confused!
