He spent almost an hour talking about thew new stadium. Had nothing bad to say about it in all. Thought it was very impressive, very nice and beautiful but said we are going to have one of the quietest stadiums in the NFL.

Fans will be too busy watching the big screen, touring the stadium, hanging out at the bars and visiting the museum. Also said it's priced out the blue collar fan and the average Joe. The type of fans who go there to get drunk and make noise. Instead it will be filled with executives and presidents trying to impress clients and rich people who are their for the atmosphere and not to get crazy.

Normally the guy never makes much sense to me but what he says holds some merit in my mind. Texas Stadium was never really known as a "loud" place to play. I'm just wondering if you guys thought this place would be any better?

30,000 $29 standing tickets. How much more 'average joe' and 'blue collar' can you get? Its not like Yankee Stadium where the fans without money get screwed. There's still an amazing view with atmosphere no matter how high.

I doubt it will be any different. It was pretty quiet in there last night for the most part...it was preseason though obviously.

I can't stand the guy, he constantly takes shots at the Boyz. He's really hard to listen and he's so in love with himself, it's sickening. Dude takes shots at our team and owner all the time. He'll praise them, then take a backhanded shot at them. The jerk irks me!!!

I was surprised at how quiet it was last night..I was also surprised that people made noise when we were in the red zone.

It is hard dealing with him. I get it double because I'm a PSU fan and he does the exact same thing to them. I look forward to the Irvin show in the morning but you have to get through Cowherd to get there. lol

I was visiting stateside, listening to ESPN radio, the day the news broke that Favre was going to be a Viking. Cowherd was on. ... it was pure comedy gold.

Cowherd was relentlessly ranting against listeners who were e-mailing Cowherd's show telling Cowherd that Favre was going to be a Viking. Cowherd said that the Favre reports were not credible. ... a few moments later the news broke and Cowherd looked like a complete idiot. Very funny stuff.

Watching it from home it looked like the same clientale in the stands that were at TX Stadium. Cowboy fans will always find a way, can you say 2nd mortgage?

and then he claimed there were only 3 QB's in the league better than Favre, and that the Vikes were definitely the super bowl favs now because of him.

I don't like Cowherd normally. But I fear he's right: AWFULLY quiet on TV last night. Big time.........................BTW, he's an equal opportunity offender. Heard him bashing Philly fan and how insane they are the other day........it's his schtick: which is why I don't listen to him. He's very predictable and boring.

I went to a Marlins game a couple of weeks ago when I was in Miami. A beer was $8 and a turkey sandwich was $12. About the same as JJ is asking?

$8 beer and a $12 sandwich for the MARLINS? No wonder they only draw flies to their games. That's brutal.............................

And thats the Marlins...no offense, decent team, but the stands are ALWAYS empty.

For the Diamondbacks, beers are $9 (can get a tiny one for $4), margaritas are $7.50, Sandwiches are $12....the prices aren't extremely high like some are saying.

I bet that all changes when the Giants roll into town for our first regular season game in week 2. I guarantee it.

We all get worried about our team (me included) when we look like a Div II college football team in week 1 of the preseason, and now it's about how quiet and meek our fans are at the new stadium. It was the first game at a brand new venue for the fans. Sure they are going to get caught up in the whole thing. It's new and shiney. Can't help but get a little distracted.

Just wait till week 2. Cowboys Stadium will be deafening.

The scoreboards need to have a noise meter pop up on the display in critical situation as an incentive to give the crowd something to shoot for. I don't know if they are using the scoreboard to overlay messages (like "Defense!", "Noise!", etc.) like at basketball games, but if not they are missing out on a golden opportunity.

I was watching on TV, so hard to know for sure. But it seemed the crowd was loudest when we were running our offense, in particular on some plays down in the redzone.

So your right, maybe they need some help with signs or something.

I listen to "All Night" with Jason Smith on ESPN 1000 while at work. I get these annoying sound bites/clips of Colin Cowherd.

For most of the offseason all I heard was how much better the Steelers organization was over the Cowboys. And how the Cowboys are not America's Team. Basically Steelers were the model franchise and we were not.

Some in here will agree with Colin. And that's okay. But the way Colin said it (Yeah, I know. He's doing his job to get more listeners.) pissed me off and had me mouthing off to the radio.

Cowterd is for the most part, an idiot. Typical ESPN. :espn:

You cant tell on TV how loud a stadium is these days. They are able to block out a lot of the noise.

Ticket prices in the NFL are getting out of hand. I just got my tickets to the Dallas at Denver game and I couldnt believe how much it was for decent seats. Over $1000 for 2 tickets, if it wasnt for the fact that I only get to see the Boys play every few years I probably wouldnt go.
