I agree. I was just pointing out that it does not get to -40% like claimed. Most cities get cold during the winter but many don’t get cold enough to be considered cold weather cities.

San Francisco is cold?

I have lived in Bay Area and San Francisco can get chilly. But it does not get cold like other parts of the country. It definitely should not be considered a "cold" city.

I was born and raised in Oxnard, CA. I remember one year a me and a group of friends decided to take a road trip to San Francisco. I remember it was in mid July. One wouldn't think it would be cold that time of year. The Los Angeles Dodgers were playing the San Francisco Giants while we were there. So after taking in some scenic stuff, my friends and I decided to go to the ballgame. This was back when Candlestick Park was still operating. The stadium is off the ocean. I had never been to San Francisco before this and learned something fast. Depending on what part of San Francisco you go to visit, bring clothing for warmth... We froze our behinds off... They were selling hand warmers in July if that tells you something.

Correct. However, there's a monster of a difference between 40 degrees and minus 40 for weeks at a time.

Yep that was the Stick. It could be 80*+ 15-20 miles away. You get to the game. The temp has dropped and wind coming off the bay. It will make for a long game if you were not prepared for it. It caught a lot of 1st timers off guard.

It's not about being cold sometimes, it's about the team in a cold weather city.

Your weird answer is even more shocking. It appears you're attempting to assuage your low self esteem by pretending to be some world traveler w/ this intense knowledge that no one else has.

I don't even remember discussing my own personal experience in this matter. My advice to you is to read more and develop some powers of deduction instead of making stuff up in a desperate attempt to sound worldly. A really worldly person would not feel the need to brag about it.
