Cowturd: Cowboys didn't show up because they knew Wade wouldn't demand it.

Umm, I meant for the Cowboys, they've had both styles here lately and yet they seem to slow down in December as opposed to getting better. Just simply asking what you think the problem is?

Parcells 2 SB wins > Dungy AND Vermeil with 2 SB wins.

Parcells is not one of the "rah rah guys" either.

When did Bill win his in a different NFL show me where he won with the modern players making millions up on millions.

This is not the old NFL where you can just bully players into playing hard they get one big contract and they can mail it in because they are set for life if they manage their money correctly.

Cowturds theory on why the BOys have stunk in the last month of th season for the last 10 years (whether the team was good or bad):
The Dallas media licks the boys boots and tells them how great they are.
Just goes to show what he knows.
Says the Pats win because their media is always on their case and never praises them much and expects more of them.

BS of course. EVEN if that were true about the Dallas media (and it ain't, for sure) after a few years everyone pretty much would tune them out. You keep saying the same things over and over again and after a while no one pays any attention.

So these guys don't want to win of give their all because of money ?

That says it all.

This is still a young team that has to develop a killer instinct at all times.

Unfortunately, we haven't developed it yet.

We'll see what the playoffs hold.

If we win in convincing fashion, then it will mean we were coasting until the games mattered.

If we lose, then there will be a lot of soul-searching going on to determine whether this team has the "will" to push for a championship - as well as a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth in this forum

There are a lot of players in this league that fit that description. We see it all the time guys coming into camp fat and over weight etc etc.

That is not the issue you can not go around just bulling people into what you do any more the players and society has changed. You have to connect with players and get them to play hard not yell and scream at them all the time. The money lends to this if a player gets the big pay day and he thinks you are just being an arse they can mail it in and tune you out. Randy Moss I just here collecting a paycheck. The I just work here mentality that some many people today show. The NFL has changed and the coaches that are starting to be successful are the ones that have realized this and made changes. That is not to say you need to not hold players accountable but jumping up and down and screaming in there face does not work like it use to.

Yea, just ask Tony Dungy. What the heck has he ever done anyway?

How long did it take Tony Dungy to get over the top too?

Look, I'm not going to knock Tony Dungy. He is an excellent coach. But the Colts didn't start winning until Peyton Manning learned he couldn't do everything by himself. Manning finally learned to rely on the running game and the defense instead of forcing throws. And that's why they eventually won.

I hope Romo (Garrett) learns the same because teams are going to expect him to go to Witten and a hobbled T.O. and will likely plan to take that away.

The same Randy Moss that had 23 TD's this season ?

Ehh. It wasn't the money, it was the team.

Oh okay, I mis-read what you wrote.

Who says it is not working?

Folks, we took 3 Pro Bowlers and our best Lineman out of the game, it is extremely difficult, if not impossible to replace those caliber of players in a season, let alone 1 game.

Yep he mailed it in two places because of the coaching staff and team. He already had the big money then bam all of a sudden he plays well again

Well I could throw out the Washington game but I guess there has been reasons for looking less than great in each of the December games.

I guess you could just chalk up the Lions game as a bad game for the defense, it happens.

The Philly game was because Romo's thumb was messed up and he couldn't hit outer space with the football if where standing on the moon!

Things looked promising against Carolina, going up 14-0 then T.O. went down and Dallas struggled offensively for much of the game after that!

Oh hi...I'm the Minnesota Vikings.

I think that what has happened is (some coach) exposed Jason Garrett's vanilla offense, and made a blueprint that he shared with the fairy elves in the land of make believe.

Also, we keep giving Julius the ball. This is a huge mistake. Hopefully he was mad last night because they told him those were his last carries this season. I wonder if he knows that he's better than Chester Taylor.

Uh julius was the only RB for the dallas cowboys to have positive yardage in that sorry game. MB3 was thoroughly manhandled. At least JJ had the discipline to get the few yards that were available.

Canned answer : 'Nothing to play for'

Yet going after TEAM records was important to these guys.

Playoffs will be different as far as mindset, so the challenges will be different.

You're kidding yourself if you underestimate how important motivation is in those kind of games. Washington had everything on the line playing against a hated rival at home.

They came out ready to take Dallas players heads off and Dallas just never managed to match their intensity.

There's no doubt in my mind that this would have been a different story had the Cowboys played for homefield on the last game of the season.

For Washington fans the best thing that could have happened last week, outside of beating the Vikings, was the Packers getting clobbered by the Bears. As soon as the result of the Chicago game was in it was pretty clear that Washington was close to a shoe in for the playoffs.
