Crawford, 31, is considering retirement following the 2020 season, a possible closing of the book of a nine-year career that has seen him serve as a versatile "big daddy'' leader of the Dallas defensive line.

Crawford was the worst contract we've had over the last 2 years. 15 million for *predictably* nothing.

Lots of defensive cap this year went for nothing. On the bright side, we saved some of that by cutting guys and ending their game day roster bonuses.
Crawford, Lee, McCoy, Dix, Jaylon, Griffen, Poe, Worley.

I'm not a fan of the DLaw contract, but he at least played well the back half of the season.

At the ripe old age of 31 he looked so old and slow yesterday. He had to play a lot too, with Woods gone. Looks like he’s so stiff too.

Thanks for your service brother. Get your body healed up and enjoy retirement. TC98

The man survived 9 puncture wounds. He played as hard as he could for the boys and was captain.

That he did - but what the team got in return for that mistake contract wasn’t enough. Hope he enjoys retirement.

How do you think other trench players feel when they see crawford making that much and being trash? Lol
They feel terrible. Same way players feel when the watch the tape of guys like Jaylon and Woods. Same way they feel when their so called team leaders fail to lead. Same way they feel when it is obvious that players get money and play time based on how much Jerry likes them.

Good riddance. He is the poster boy for Dallas mediocrity. Injured. Flex but can’t play either. Bad contract. Off the field issues. Wasted 3rd round pick. Stayed too long. Sold as a leader but never won a damn thing. The perfect modern day Dallas Cowboy.

Does anyone else have this sneaking suspicion that Crawford will be signed by the raiders after he retires from the cowboys?

I know ppl will focus on the contract and that is fair but if the Cowboys had more players with his attitude and less Jaylon Smith's they would be Superbowl Contenders. I ain't mad at him taking the bag of money the owner handed him. Hope he retires and has success in his future.

It won't shock me if Jerry re-signs him to a high priced contract. He'll say it was for continuity and his leadership.

He was overpaid for what he produced. That's more on Jerry since Jerry keeps paying players like they are superstars when they are average or barely above average.
