By anyone not currently on the Cowboys roster per Stephen Jones.

In other words don't look for John Abraham or anyone else coming onboard... At least not yet. ;)

I think we will find they are going to have to at some point. Thin line just got way thinner, if not to fill his role - at least someone to make up the depth.

I think he would have been a solid piece of our defense. And I doubt this is the case for too long. Stephen is trying to be frugal here, in my opinion. We lack depth at DE.

Whats the plan if Spencer/Ware gets dinged up? I like to see Seymore get a look.

Once DE's from around the league start getting cut in large numbers in late August, you may see Stephen Jones changing his tune. As of right now, except for a couple of 35 year old names, there is nothing to go after.

One name that was being mentioned in several tweets yesteday was Jamaal Anderson, a former first rounder of the Falcons 3-4 years agao.

Not sure how much you panic when looking for someone to come into a limited number of snaps. Sucks for Crawdad but I think next year was his big year anyway. Yes I'm minimizing the loss but I'll save the kneejerk signings for the loss of Ware or Spencer.

He was a bust in Atlanta, and Cincinnati just gave up on him. Doesn't sound like a real viable option.

With Dallas being 9m under the cap, they should definitely sign a situational pass rush veteran DE before the season. That is one position that needs a strong rotation and depth. Guys like Seymour and Abraham have been mentioned and in a rotation they could be very effective.

Seymour and Abraham are not interest in training camp, maybe we'll hear about them in 3-4 weeks.

Well you can look at this on the bright side, Marinelli likes what we have on the DL and wants to see who will step up. If no one does we have a chance to sign someone in the future.

Agreed... CB/DE

I like it. :)

In the old Bud Wilkinson defenses of the mid to late 1950s, such a creature existed.

See that fellow denoted 'E' out there playing cornerback? When they switched from the 5-2 to the 6-2, he became a defensive end.
