Crawford Not Being Replaced...

Promote from within using resources at your disposal which are more cap friendly. If necessary go out and buy a replacement. Nothing complicated about that.

John Abraham doesn't play the same position, so the point is moot.

Not sure what you mean. Wasn't Crawford being looked at as the backup DE? Abraham was the 5th ranked 4-3 DE last year and is looking to play in a limited role. Maybe he can only spell Ware, while Crawford could back up both Spencer and Ware, but he appears to be better than anyone on the roster right now.

As it stands Sean Lissemore will probably be the primary spell for both the DEs and DTs unless Wilber shows a little pass rushing ability

Two problems with Abraham. One is he is brittle. Two is he is takes up a roster spot. Number 1 concerns me the most but don't overlook the latter.

I'm not saying this is the case because I have no way of knowing but if you want to bargain for a position of strength you don't announce publicly that you are in serious need.

Now granted the FO misevaluates talent regularly but they are also very good negotiators.

To anyone with a clue, it's obvious. Why would it matter if we announced it? Those in the NFL aren't stupid.... Well, unless we're talking about our HC. Then maybe you'd have a point.

Leave it to my brother to come up with an answer ;). Nice one, David!!!

He's averaged 10.5 sacks and 15.7 games played over the last 6 years.

lol u love u some Garrett. You tried voodoo dolls?

I'm going to give him a chance going in to the season. But if he blows it this year, I'm officially going to start with the voodoo dolls. You make a good point. I haven't tried those yet.

In my opinion, we have an excellent team in terms of personnel. But we're hindered in terms of in game management and coaching.

One positive is Garrett won't be calling plays. So that's a start. But I'd rather have a coach capable of calling plays.
