Actually Albert may not have gotten 41 million from Washington even though that was the guaranteed amount. It appears as though he only ever got 34 million from Washington so the next team up must have eaten some of the contract. This puts his average per solo tackle pretty much in line with our boy Crawford.

The curious case of Crawford keeps getting more curious. Why is he on this team. What does he do? Why did Jerry pay him $20M for the past two years?

Nnamdi Asomugha to Philly at 60 Million over 5 years might be worse than Crawford. And its a myth that anyone here has defended Crawford's contract here in the last 2 or 3 years.

Good example of a bad contract but if you look closer it is no where close to Crawford. Nnamdi only ever got a total of 25 million from the Eagles and his stats from those 2 years are not terrible. He had 4 picks, 78 solo tackles and 17 pass defenses. That would be considered top level talent on this team.

It is indeed curious. I mean when you really sit down and look at it there is absolutely no logical explanation. It is complete and utter madness.

I just had to dig a bit deeper. In case any one is wondering:

2020 3 million dollars per tackle so far (one)
2019 9 million dollars per tackle (one)
2018 0.5 million per tackle (16)
2017 0.5 million per tackle (16)

That is one brutal and obscene 4-year run.
Someone needs to print this and post it on his locker. Post another one on Jerry's door.

LOL at a base salary of 8 million and with one solo tackle Jerry is paying 3 million dollars per tackle. I don't know about you but that feels like a lot.

I am starting to wonder if Crawfords contract may be the worst contract for a defensive player in the history of the NFL. And the crazy thing is that people will still defend it. The biggest joke that comes to mind is the Albert Haynesworth contract. He ended up getting 41 million from Washington over 2 years with a 31 solo tackles (6.5 sacks). This works out to 1.32 million per solo tackle. Our boy Crawford averages just under a million per solo tackle so I guess he is a bit better deal that Albert was for Washington. Then again Albert did have 6.5 sacks in there so it could easily be argued that the all time worst contract ever for a defensive player is better value than Crawford.

Fandom overrides common sense. And willful ignorance kick in.

It's indefensible, but it doesn't stop fans who can't bear to read anything embarrassing or negative about 'their Cowboys' from trying.
