Leon Washinton did light up San Diego's kick coverage unit. Still, I'd like to know what Crayton's motivation was to open his mouth.

I didn't think owens aggravation was worth some records. I kind of figured
his ego and gaping whole in his face might have set a pretty good team back a bit. Wonder where Crayton learned that opening your trap as a player is ok.
I some times forget what's important I guess.

The kick coverage team is awful there, or at least it was yesterday, and sometimes you need to call a unit out to get their attention.
Probably should have been the coach who did it but, most likely, Norv isn't the type to do that, much like Wade isn't.
That means someone else has to. Probably could have been someone more suited with the Chargers to say it, probably should have been, but that's how it goes sometimes I guess.
Responding to critical comments by Chargers newcomer Patrick Crayton, who questioned the mentality of the team's kick-coverage players, San Diego head coach Norv Turner has told the former Dallas Cowboy to stifle himself.
"Patrick is new to our organization," Turner said on Monday. "And I don't think you'll hear any other comments about it from Patrick. He knows now that the way we handle things is in-house."
What sticks out to me here is how Norv nips it in the bud, while the doofus running the show in Dallas never takes a step like that.InmanRoshi;3591124 said:Evidently Patrick's finding out that the lockerroom culture and media policy in other organizations is a little different compared to the free reign he was accustomed to in Dallas.

Turner said he doesn't agree with Crayton's message, because it came after the fact.
"If he had told me that (on) Wednesday morning, and said, 'Hey, these guys aren't taking things serious, then you say, 'Hey, wait a minute,' " Turner said.
