Watching the game on NFL Network today, with about 5 min left in the 3rd, Crayton makes a great catch and run. After he gets up from the tackle, he flips the ball with a little bit of attitude to Quincy Morgan and then walks away from him.

It reminded me of the kind of move you see when a WR will flip the ball at a CB after he's burned him for a catch.

I was just wondering if there's a little gamesmanship between the two regarding the #3 spot. Maybe Crayton sending a little message to the guy he's replaced?

I know that there lockers are real close to each other and Patrick is very respectful towards his teammate with the way the media is handling the battle.

Interesting. My guess is that there is some bitterness there. Afterall, it's a perfect setting for bitterness. That's hilarious though. Screw Morgan. He can't catch and even dropped ANOTHER pass last night.

I think he gets cut ... or is demoted to #5 if we only keep 5. But right now I like Copper better than Morgan and Crayton has clearly handed Morgan his own arse. Factor in Crowder and his special teams ability etc ... and we're going to have to keep 6 IMO if Morgan is to stay on the team. Tough call though.

I wonder how his release would impact the cap ...

Crayton seems like a good guy. Doesn't seem like his character to do something like that.
Why would you be beefing with a fellow teammate? It's the coaches call. Why would he rub it in like that? There's just no point to it.
Sounds silly and tasteless to me. I doubt it.

Quincy Morgan probably knows by now that his #3 spot is gone. No need for Crayton to rub it in.

Yeah it is. Gone with the wind. He'll never be anything more than a guy who is known for dropping passes. I thought maybe he may get it right with the new technique and what not. But the guy is a lost cause. He's still dropping passes - can't trust him.

Crayton is the man!

Hell, when Morgan caught that TD pass last night, my mom even said, "Wow...he caught one!" She's a big Cowboys fan, but doesn't keep up with individual play too much.

Bastid dropped one too though.

I know it doesn't seem like Crayton's personality, that's why I took note when I saw it.

Maybe they're good buds and it was a friendly thing. I don't know what kind of relationship they have so who knows?

Morgan was talking about not being treated fairly or something like that. He took offense to the Parcells comments about pulling for Crayton. I bet he's bitter. His comments about not being treated fair indicate that at least.

It's chic to bash Morgan lately, but if you heard his postgame interview with Brad Sham last night, there was no sign of 'tude whatsoever... He said he knew he'd been playing terrible and he was embarrassed to drop that first one because that was his job. He didn't blame anyone but himself and just hoped for another opportunity to do better because he's from this area and this is where he wants to be and play.

Frankly, I felt sorry for him and I think Sham did, too. Here's a young man who is trying his best not only for himself but for his local family, too, and even though he's trying his hardest, he knows it's slipping away from him.

We've had our share of punks around here, but I don't believe Morgan is one of them.

If you watch it again, it was more of an instinctual toss by crayton...no harm, no foul.

Let me guess... Morgan dropped it, right?

The way I heard the story is that Crayton and Morgan have become very good friends...they go out to dinner together, and their families even get together. Crayton wants that #3 spot, but he's desperate for his close buddy to also be on the team. It was reported that his flip of the ball to Morgan was a preplanned event in order to prove to Parcells and to a national audience, and getting it on film, that Morgan can indeed catch a pass if it's thrown to him correctly....underhanded.

I could see it if Morgan had made the catch and then flipped the ball to Crayton. Because he's the one fighting for a roster spot. But I can't see it the other way around, because Crayton has moved so far beyond Morgan that it's laughable. I'm sure that Crayton has his sights set on Glenn and Key rather than on Morgan. Morgan is a dot in his rear view mirror, if he's even showing up anymore.

I saw Crayton do that too and my first reaction was that it was not purposeful. It seems out of character for him. I'm excited about what Crayton has shown us over the last year, and obviously disappointed in Morgan (but still rooting for him).

I really hope that we don't cut Morgan. He's a fine #4 or #5 receiver. Wonder if he can play special teams?

I had high hopes for Crayton heading into camp and he has come through with flying colors. I think the sky is the limit for Crayton.
