Two simple questions:

1. why is this guy a NFL starter
2. Why did we give him $6 million

other than upgrading from reeves/jones, the #1 priority has to be finding a legit starter opposite TO. crayton is a #3 at best.

The drop was bad enough but then stopping on the route for the game winner was unbelievable. He had him beat, the pass was there and he inexplicably stops his route!

ugh!!!!!

I must have missed that, I thought the ball was a little bit over thrown.

I agree, he's a #3 at best. If he has the best hands on the team, then we have some serious trouble.

The guy had zero impact on this game ... in fact, his impact was probably negative.

Crayton is what he is. He's not a bad WR. He's not a great WR either. But his contract did not break the bank.

Also, Crayton is not the problem. Romo needs more weapons at WR. Doubt that Sam Hurd and Miles Austin are anything more than 4th and 5th WR material.

Time to get another playmaker at wideout, because Terry Glenn is most likely done.

It was overthrown because Crayton stopped his route and then took off again.

I still don't get why so many people were happy with Crayton being resigned, all this bs about, oh well he's got versatility. He plays special teams and he's an emergency 3rd QB. How many passes has he thrown and how many times has he NOT called a fair catch on a punt?

Utterly ridiculous, he's probably the one that started the "best hands on the team" rumor and you all bought it.

The guy talks like he's a #1, but he's just a substitute #2 that should really be a #3.

I really, really can't believe Jerry just gave that guy a new contract. That's got to be one of the stupidest things that man has done, and that's saying something.

Nope, he slowed in his route when he had the defender beat for the game winner on 3rd down at the end of the game. He also had two BIG-TIME drops and he muffed a punt.

I've said it all year, the guy isn't a starting level receiver. He DOES have the ability to make some plays, but he just doesn't make them when it counts. He dropped that TD in the Patriots game also.

I completely blame this loss on Crayton and the offense line in the second half. Of course, the blown offsides call, the defense allowing that idiot TD to end the half, and Romo under throwing a few passes didn't help either.

Wow, can you be more off base? Romo has Jason Witten and TO. Those two alone amount to more than most QBs in the NFL have. Crayton was the problem last night. The team depended on him to make his plays, and he failed BIG-TIME. Not just once, FOUR TIMES. He is the biggest loser of last night.

Interesting.

I may have to upload that play on Youtube and examine it.

This is what I think as well.

We need to get a WR opposite TO who can contribute ASAP. IMO, that means FA, if one is there.

And we should probably consider drafting another one fairly early as well as it takes a couple of years to develop one.

Crayton is a nice #3 WR and nothing more. But he needs to keep his mouth shut and let his play do the talking.

Wait a minute Crayton has played well all year he struggled this game with drops the only other drops he had is when he dislocated his finger

Terrell Owens also disappeared in the clutch last year yet he gets a free pass for choking away ball games last year in the clutch.

Where was TO in the clutch he was being manned up by a scrub QB he was open once deep late and Romo got whacked and threw it short because the oline sucked where was he the rest of those plays where he is option # 1 or 2

I agree with the free agent route --a young proven WR is the best route

Romo go wacked after he threw the ball, he just didnt follow thru. Thats why it looked as if he got whacked when he threw it.

He threw it short because he throws deep balls like Chad Pennington. TO was open AGAIN on a deep route against the Giants and Romo AGAIN underthrew him...

He is what he is though. A mobile Qb who can make plays on the run, very accurate, with an average at best NFL arm.
