Crayton

He just cannot play in the big games.

16 sec to go in the game and he pulls up on a game winning route.

Seriously...I don't typically post here. More of the lurker type. But I cannot stand it anymore. Patrick Crayton has me so fired up. So angry. It's killing me.

It was bad enough that he had the nerve to talk trash after we LOST to the Patriots. At that time, I had to suffer through his idiocy on ESPN Radio and messaging boards. People across the nation were laughing at him then as he basked in his ten minutes of fame for looking like an idiot.

You would have thought that he would have learned to shut-the-heck-up after he got laughed at by the media for trash talking as a loser. But no. He's got to go out and share his opinion about the Giants, and in particular, Brandon Jacobs.

Well, as it turns out, our moron lost the game for us. He choked, plain and simple. He had the nerve to drop two *KEY* passes, and one punt. To make things worse, he stopped running on a pass play with a few seconds left that he would have had an excellent chance of catching (assuming he didn't choke again). But to top it off, he was too tired to set himself at the line of scrimmage so Romo ends up burning a timeout.

I don't want him on my team. Period.

Well maybe he learned something

Did this whole team get that pucker factor this year. Teams where starting to gun for us and I am not sure they knew how to handled it still.

:(

I admit that this was a bad time for Crayton to have his worst game, but he is better then what he showed yesterday. Is it me or does he have more drops this season then any other season?

Too late.. You cut him or trade him and you take at least a 6 million dollar hit.. Just sit him or leave him at what he is.. A third down WR who was a converted WR from QB who played at NE Oklahoma State who talks like he was the first pick of the draft Keyshawn..

He didn't learn to keep his mouth shut the first time. I doubt he ever will.

He also started this year for the first time, by default. The guy is totally worthless as a punt returner. At one time I thought he could be a good #3 WR, but it's obvious he's all mouth and no action. I want someone who can perform in crunch time and this guy comes up small time after time.

Thank God Jerry re-signed him though. :bang2:

Ya know, Crayton did screw up during the game, I'm not going to argue against that. But, this loss wasn't because of him. How about the penalty on the line after Witten's first-down catch? How about the play calling that took us from an explosive offense all year to a pedestrian running game against the Giants. How about the defense letting Amani Toomer -- Amani Friggin' Toomer -- get loose not once, but twice. How about the offensive line that decides to stop run and pass blocking in the second half after manhandling the Giants in the first half.

Sure Crayton dropped some key passes. Hasn't TO done that this year? Crayton is a good receiver with incredible hands. He picked a bad time to have an off game, but that's a rarity.

I do agree, however, that the Boys need to go after another legit 1-2 receiver, i.e., Chad Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald. Ocho Cinco would fit in nicely, especially the way Romo spreads the ball around.

I wouldn't call our running game pedestrian, we ran better than we had most of the year and then gave up on it in the 2nd half. Barber had what, 20 carries in the first half and only got about 7 more the whole game, usually on first down for 3 or so yards before they'd then proceed the pass the next two downs.

The penalties absolutely destroyed us, and quite a few of them were just bad calls.

He had 11 for 28 yards

OK, pedestrian wasn't the right word, but we did go from explosive to conservative. The thing I kept saying to myself yesterday was "why give up on what got you there." I was extremely pleased with the running game in the first half, but that is when we had the Giants primed for some play-action passes. Didn't happen much if at all.
