Craytons agent speaks

;) Think that Detroit would buy Roy W back for the original purchase price less slight depreciation?

I don't either, so I would trade some of the 'futures' with present, and throw in a journeyman in addition for ammo in the second. Get one second rounder and retain the current second and two fourth rounders and this draft is pretty set.

I can't believe we would get rid of Crayton for Roy. What can Roy even do better than Crayton besides take up more cap space?

A good GM would keep Patrick and get rid of Roy.

Jerry isn't psychologically ready to give up on the RW trade yet.

The best thing may be to keep PC and when Roy falls flat on his face again he can be kept inactive on gameday.

I agree. Crayton is a security blanket for Romo and had quite a good year last year.

I would trade him without thinking twice for a Kyle Kosier like player- an OL that other teams don't love but become indispensable in Dallas.

He is a rare talent who is excited to be here. I personally am not going to gripe. I don't pout when guys I want aren't drafted. Never have. Not going to start now. Iupati was gone. Those are the breaks.

2nd that.. About the only guy left I really wanted was Kyle Wilson, and would have been happy if he was the guy, but nobody can argue against top 10 talent in Dez. You just can't.

But to tell you the truth, my heart sank when the Niners called Iupati's name. I thought with them drafting Davis, that they'd go in another direction ( they passed on a few CBs that would have helped them alot ) and about the only obstacle left between Iupati and Dallas was Pittsburgh, but even they didn't worry me much.

Still, if we have to " settle " for a talent like Bryant every year, then I'm building the condos right now..

I can't believe the delusion most of you are operating under. Crayton is worth NOTHING in a trade. A 6th at best and that only from a team drafting near the end of the round.

Crayton is not a starter, never really been a starter, hasn't proven that he can ever be a starter, and likely never will be a starter. Teams trading away 3rd, 4th, or 5th round picks are looking for guys that can start or at least have the potential to start.

And as a return guy, Patrick " Fair Catch" Crayton isn't getting anyone wet about the possibility of trading for him for that spot either.

Face the reality people, Crayton is a backup WR and STs guy who has no real value in a trade. If we can get a high 7th for him I would be very happy.

Someone thought we could get a 2nd for him! :lmao2:

You were right on track right up to that point.. Teams trading those picks are hoping that whomever they get becomes a contributor OR, in some cases, stay out of jail.

The highest that Patrick has achived in this league was the top #3 receiver in the NFL, and just a general producer beyond that. Thumper, you are target on as to prediction of trade value. He is more valuable right where he is in Dallas, as to 'futures' contributions.

We need Witten for blocking ...just saying

That's part of why he is an All Pro...and his influence upon the running game. Don't think that Jones, Barber, and Scandrick don't appreciate his presence when they tote the rock.

His presence also keeps linebackers on their heels more as well.

We're really probably best off with PC and without RW but Jerry won't let that happen in 2010.

He had two TD's retuning last season. He's not a scrub, teams won't give up much at all for him because they know Dallas are currently stacked at that position. But if he hits FA he would be snapped up pretty quick because of his price and the couple of few plays he makes a year. I could see the Steelers jumping on him.

I agree. He isn't going anywhere. At least I hope not.

I certainly would hate to see Patrick go because we're stuck with that ****face Roy Williams.

:hammer:

I believe we would be just as effective on offense, if we decided to keep Crayton and cut our losses with Roy Williams.

Let it all out.

Crayton could probably fetch a 5th at best. Id take it.

I think you could get a fourth in next year's draft sometime this summer for Crayton, if a team loses a WR/KR to injury before the start of preseason. Well maybe a conditional 4th.

I like having Crayton, I think he's pretty solid. I wouldn't expect to see Bryant on the field that much until after the bye week at the earliest, unless he's out there as a returner. Bryant imo is a future pick, not a now pick. They also need future linemen, not now linemen. The only thing that is a real question right now is safety, I like Alan Ball but I'm not sure how that entire safety position will hold up all season. Getting Sensabaugh back becomes more important I think, you don't want 2 guys back there who could make mistakes because they don't know what they're doing 100% of the time.
