Yeah, that's right.

I don't think there is much of a chance that a 3rd team QB would see action due to both of the top two QBs getting knocked out of a game. I think it is somewhat more likely that Parcells would use the 3rd QB in a trick play situation.

But that 3rd QB can't play unless the first two are hurt or it is the 4th quarter - that's why he can dress as an inactive.

Parcells has mentioned the possibility of carrying only two quarterbacks. And it makes some sense given the roster numbers.

Parcells, perhaps only joking, has also mentioned Green and Crayton as QBs (both having played QB earlier in their careers).

I remember Crayton lining up as QB for the Cowboys in a goalline situation once. It didn't work particularly well. I don't recall if it was in the preseason or regular.

Does anybody remember any reports of Crayton lining up as QB in training camp? (Not this year, but in previous years)

I'm curious whether Parcells would consider using Green as a change-up QB in the same way it was tried with Crayton.

And if so, whether we'd know about it ahead of time (as a result of training camp practice sessions).

I remember hearing that #4 Mat McBriar took some snaps under center (this year's training camp), and performed well. :D

We had a good punted once who tried to play QB so I am game for trying Crayton as #3.
