What's more crazy is CeeDee not getting the ball hardly at all after the first quarter.
I suspect he was being punished for his big mouth, when he had words for Dak that didn't appear overly kind.

I doubt it'll be an ongoing thing, however. Maybe he needs to learn that decent respect is extremely important.

7th-round, small school, 25 y.o. rookie buried on depth chart.

Shocking I say.

The guy is never going to be more than a role player.

Brooks is a more experience player, and we only played Flournoy because we had to. Brooks was targeted once and made a catch. Listening to Broaddus, Flournoy got away with what could’ve been a penalty in the closing minutes of the game.
That seems to be his norm so far. Tolbert and Turpin both have shown that they deserve more playing time than him.

So Dak games blamed for throwing to CD in double coverage in the first half, then you want Dak to throw to him in double coverage in the second half.

That makes sense.

Bingo! and this is something CeeDee needs to learn. He IS helping the team when he's doubled-team, meaning there are ways he can help without the ball in his hand.
I am sure he sees Jefferson/ Chase doubled all game but finding plays, it's on coaching staff to find ways to keep him involved. Minus the f@c%ing jet sweep and end arounds. So tired of those plays.

Flournoy only played 10 snaps. I also think it takes time for Dak to warm up to new receivers. He doesn't throw much to Schoonmaker either.

Before you jump on Schoonmaker, did you see him pancake TJ Watt on a Dowdle run for 10 yards? If he doesn't make the block, Watt tackles Dowdle for a short gain.

If he is doubled covered and not open, no don't throw him the ball. Comon' man.

For CeeDee to only get what, one reception?, after the first quarter is insane. He gets open. Dak just can't see it. He was wide open on the overthrown Tolbert interception and it looked like a walk in TD.

I damn near almost fell off my couch when he ran onto the field for what I think would’ve been his first NFL offensive snap on 4th down, before the Steelers called the timeout. That would’ve been so Cowboys I could just picture it, throwing to a rookie in his first game while facing the most important play of their young season.
If Tomlin had not called the TO it would have been interesting. The fact that he did call the time out, let JT come back into the game and they could run the play they wanted to run. they would have run a different play without JT in the game.

How is it insane? If he is doubled, not open, or can't be trusted to be were he is supposed to be.

LOL.....NO rookie is going to have a QB trust with only 10 snaps ( preseason mind you ) under his belt. My poster friends are funny sometimes.
Context.....Tolbert has worked out with Dak every year since his rookie season and Dak still doesn't trust him 100%.

Why is it crazy??????
I said all week there was too much hype about him playing. He will get his chances......
How many snaps did he get and did he run the right routes and get open. The staff knows these things and they will determine how much of a shot he gets. Got to take advantage of every snap even if you aren’t the target. It’s still on film
