I don't understand why people are so proud of the fact that they don't like a sport.
If you don't like it or don't understand it, then either ignore it or maybe give it a shot and maybe you'll gain an appreciation for an athletic event being played at its highest level.
But I don't understand why so many people (not just Hos, but dozens of people I've run into during this World Cup run) are so eager to brag about how much they hate soccer like it's some kind of badge of honor.
I don't like some things that are very popular, such as NASCAR and baseball, but I don't see the point of trumpeting my dislike from the rooftops.
And don't mistake me for a soccer-homer, either. I think a lot of the criticisms of soccer are valid, but I still enjoyed watching it for the high level of athletic contest that it is.
