And sadly, probably so damn true.

You all act like what ESPN said is so outlandish. Jerry is back in the saddle and it's pretty clear he's calling the shots again. He's learned nothing.

This from a guy who has an *** hat like Axl Rose as his sig and avatar  .

Why some continually get upset with what ESPN thinks or says is beyond me.

I found it funny as well. Talked about Glenn missing practice. NEVERMIND THAT HE HAD SURGERY TODAY! Ellis missing practice. Coming off a major injury. Colombo missing practice. I believe coming off surgery. No other team in the NFL talked about in regards to missing practice BECAUSE OF INJURIES......We are the SHOW, and we move the meter. Now, let's get to Phoenix!

Really, does this surprise anyone?

Jerry's biggest problem, prior to Parcells being here, was this team's innability to find any talent and the innability to find a competent QB. Not that he occasionally talks to the team.

Truth be known... he probably did very similar stuff while parcells was here... but Bill kept things so locked down that we never heard about it.

Face it: Jerry never changed... he just kept a lower profile. The same stuff was happening while Bill was here, I'd wager, and it didn't hurt crap.

We now have talent and our coach is an un campo like x's and o's guy who knows how to fix our defense.

We now have talent at QB and that, my friends, will make the difference in today's NFL. A talented roster with a QB who can lead the team... we are so far removed from 2001 football hell it isn't even funny.

ESPN needs to fess up this year when we prove them wrong.

when he gives it to you please pass it on to me.

I have had an idea to record nfl live everytime they talk about Dallas, particularly that no talent trey wingo and mark schlereth. As soon as I see those two I just turn it, it doesnt bother me to hear them do this stuff but it is so predictable it is ridiculous.

anyway, I think I might start recording all the stupid things schelereth and wingo say and then put it altogether during the season showing whether they are right or wrong.

I hope keyshawn works on there a day or two. Trey Wingo has taken cheap shots at him for years. He has said stuff that went over the line imo, beyond football attacking keyshawn for all kinds of stuff.

I would love to see him have to work with him, see how tough he is then. It will be funny to see him kiss his rear end in that situation though.

Just like schelereth did when he was in the booth with mr. no talent wingo and jerry jones was on during the desperados game. Schelereth kissed his butt and every other second he is talking bad about him. That is what is wrong with espn, they attack everyone and talk all negative points and topics and then the cowards that work there all kiss those same peoples butts.

THat is why I like the ticket particularly norm hitzges and wfan's mike francessa. I think norm and francessa are the two best in the country. They never back down, I have heard little old norm stand up like a man and believe in what he says face to face on the air with people. Have to admire that.

A week ago when I was home in ny on vacation I was watching francessa on wfan and he spent an hour tearing espn a new one. He is friends with the vp of espn and he called and had him on the air, it was great. Francessa basically embarassed him about that ******** "whos now" stuff and then let him have it for constantly having celebs and the athletes on asking them nothing of importance. IT was great the vp asked him if he watched the bronx is bombing and said how proud the network was of it and francessa cut him off and said I would never watch that espn produced it, it has to be garbage......completely serious...it was fantastic.

Espn is garbage and recently si, usa today and powerhouse radio personalities like francessa have been calling them on it. Norm has dogged espn for the 4 years I have lived here.

ok ramble over.

Jerry Jones is the boss. If he wants to repremand Stewart for a careless mistake, he can. Jones will probably loan his private jet to Stewart if he ever needs it. I bet Mark never points this out if it happens.

Discipline. Now, Dallas doesn't have discipline. What a joke. If you want to pick against the Cowboys, fine. Just don't give crazy speculation to attract your anti-Cowboys viewers.

How many penalties did we have last year?

The penalties cost us a few games early in the season (ie: at Philly & Jax)?

We were one of the league leaders for most of the season. BP didn't coach penalties, but we sure had more than our share.

the game at washington we managed to compile the third most penalties all time in a game. All time. THink about that. All the years of this franchise and that was the third most penalized game in the history of the team.

False starts and pass inteference have been a bug this team has had going back to about 98. Witten and flo need to have less false starts this year.

It's nice when people can jump to conclusions about whether Jerry's "learned anything" without any tangible evidence. Geez, the team is in training camp come back if the team is struggling at the end of the year. Until then, it's premature to rip Jerry in the post-Parcells era.

Better get a big stock of video - it's a daily occurance for those two to wax inane,

I'm glad someone else has noticed those totally gratuitious shots and misplaced innuendo over the years. And I'd love nothing more than to see Wingo get 'the chair' a la Jim Rome.

Norm is sincere re ESPN, with Francessa, there's some personal rancor that I have always suspected is job related, as in, 'why haven't you ever offered me one?".

But hey, hell with the motive, as long as they turn the tables on "THE PREMIER sports outlet in the world". :D

ramble on dude. ESPN, I no watch no more, because of their Generic "no depth" knowledge of anything. They are all hype, to get the weak to watch.

Basically, there are few on the East Coast that really know anything. They sit at their computers like the dorks they are, and stirr up controversy, so you read and watch.

Isn't Mark Schelreth's alter ego "Rock Cartwright". He was on a soap opra.
:laugh2:

Mark, go ahead and change careers! You know you only pick Dallas when they play Washington to fire up the Commanders.

Yeah, the Cowboys had some penalties, but some of the big ones were bogus. Bogus pass interference calls ( the call on Newman in Seattle), bogus chop block calls, (at least three on our RBs), a bogus 15 yard facemask call on Kozier in Washington, a terrible replay reversal on Witten in Seattle, personal fouls (Neman's clean hit and Roy Williams' pick 6)...ect...

A bogus holding call on Flozell Adams at the end of the 2005 Commanders game in Dallas gave the Commanders hope, and they cashed in.

I hope Parcells complained behind the scenes about some of the sucky calls Dallas got last year.

There were calls made against us @ Seattle, @ Washington, and Detroit that
"cost" us games as well. It cuts both ways.

For Schelreth to use the Jerry Jones/Stewart "incident" in order to declare Dallas will "have no discipline under Phillips is a joke"!

Go get'em "Rock".

My point was that ESPN has nothing better to do, not that I was upset with their reporting -- it's expected and quite funny.
