"Cowboys Camp Different w/out Parcells"

Way to go out on a limb and state the obvious BSPN. Thank goodness for the NFLN.

What the hell does that have to do with ANYTHING? We're talking about the Cowboys here. Please try to stay on topic.

It's nice when people can jump to conclusions about whether Jerry's "learned anything" without any tangible evidence. Geez, the team is in training camp come back if the team is struggling at the end of the year. Until then, it's premature to rip Jerry in the post-Parcells era.

Tangible evidence? Well let's see, he's sitting in on coaching meetings despite the fact that he's NOT A COACH. Verbally blasting his defensive coordinator and then letting the story get to the media. How are the players supposed to respect Stewart now when he has just been completely undermined by Jerry?

Were you people just not born then or are you completely senile and have forgotten how Jerry ran this team into the ground before Parcells got here? I've said it once and I'll say it again, we're screwed until he kicks or Stephen puts him in a home.

Once again, if this team performs well your whole theory is shot to hell. So why don't we let the season play out at least before we condemn Jerry.

And sadly, probably so damn true.

You all act like what ESPN said is so outlandish. Jerry is back in the saddle and it's pretty clear he's calling the shots again. He's learned nothing.

Nothing like generalizing without any facts. Jones is not interfering with any one. The Cowboys have installed most of their modified offense and defense. Virtually every uninjured player is in great playing shape. Philips is managing the players how he wants and selected most of his assistant coaches as well with the exception of Garrett who was an acquisition opportunity before Philips was even hired.

For the most part practices have been crisp or intense, just a few sloppy sessions. Jones expressed his concern about Hatcher and that has been about it. He is the general manager so he is within his rights to question a coach putting in a cold player in a drill.

By the way, I used to really like Guns N Roses until they featured a Charlie Manson song on one of their albums.

This has been gone over before, he's the GM. the GM sits in on coaches meeting during this time of the year. Bet Ireland has been in the meetings as well.

I am sitting here working on my glenn video and I just happened to flip on espn's first take...

oh its so funny. Jay crawford just teased an owens segment saying
"T.O. sits out cowboys first training camp practice"

seriously...hillarious. This just closes the book for me. If they are this dumb, especially skip bayless and crawford then they are officially comedy.

I usually sit and laugh when I hear bayless say anything, but this really takes the cake. I cant wait to see how bad they get their facts messed up and then sit their and babble.

again. ESPN is offiicially garbage these days.

It used to be great with nfl primetime and highlights and Two guys who didnt take a side, just told you what happened berman and jackson, now everyone is an expert on every team in the league.

simply pathetic. for anyone with the ability flip it on, simply great entertainment, how can you be this dumb and be on broadcast tv.

another example of the dumbing down of america.

Interesting that here in Charlotte the Panthers give Steve Smith and Mike Minter, neither of which is injured, practices off ALL THE TIME, but no mention of that. Also reported in the Charlotte Observer this morning was that 5 Commander players, of which I believe 2 were Portis and Samuels, missed practice, but no mention of how Joe Gibbs has gone soft, or the players are running over him. Something to fill air time because the Boys move the meter, and most other teams do not.

well in 2nd down. they actually sat their and discussed how TERREL OWENS didnt particpate in the teams first practice, and then of course crawford and bayless sat there and said how can he miss the first practice..

I cant believe there is not one person at ESPN that hasnt realized that the cowboys have been in camp and practicing for over a week.

for them on august 1 to sit there and say he missed the first practice is absolutely fantastic. It proves everything that we all believe about them.

the reality is that somewhere someone who works there wasnt smart enough to realize he missed the teams first practice of the day yesterday and then the second and three in a row. But they are all too dumb to even read that.

I love it. Someone needs to call them on this and show how foolish they are.

I like it when they doubt the Cowboys

Yes, let us be the underdogs, the underrated, the red headed step child. Until we rise to power and crush the NFL and cram it all down BSPN's pieholes until they gag on their own vomit. Then in a whimper.....We're sorry...............I can't wait.

You won't see the effect this season. We're not going to go 5-11 all of the sudden because of Jerry, it's going to be a gradual process, but the cracks are already starting to show. If he is calling all the shots again and doing things like he did to Stewart, it's only a matter of time before you see the downward spiral that we saw in the 90's. Then we'll need another Parcells to come and dig us out of it.

:laugh2:

Hilarious. Teams go up and teams go down, but when we go down it's entirely because of Jerry Jones having too much involvement.

Don't forget, when this team starts to go down in a couple of years as age, injuries, and other factors change the dynamics, remind us that you told us so.

Friggin' hilarious.

ESPN reported on Cold Pizza that "TO sits out first practice" as if training camp just started. They go on to say that TO did this to test Wade's authority. No quotes, nothing. Hilarious.

Look at the lameduck coaches Jerry hired. Look at the absolute HORRIBLE draft picks Jerry made as a "general manager". Some of those drafts are about as bad as you'll find anywhere in football. How can you blame it on anyone but him?

Have the following teams in the NFL had down years following good years?

Arizona Cardinals
Atlanta Falcons
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Carolina Panthers
Chicago Bears
Cincinnati Bengals
Cleveland Browns
Denver Broncos
Detroit Lions
Green Bay Packers
Houston Texans
Indianapolis Colts
Jacksonville Jaguars
Kansas City Chiefs
Miami Dolphins
Minnesota Vikings
New England Patriots
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
New York Jets
Oakland Raiders
Philadelphia Eagles
Pittsburgh Steelers
San Diego Chargers
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle Seahawks
St. Louis Rams
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tennessee Titans
Washington Commanders

When you come to the stark realization that each of those teams has indeed had down times after good times let me know?

At that point I am going to ask you about Jerry's involvement with those teams that caused the downturns.

In other words, every team takes a downturn in the NFL. The whole thing operates as a cycle. meaning there are fluctuations, highs, and lows. One man does not create or cause the lows.

That's ridiculous.

Wait a minute....First they say Parcells is too tough on the players. Then they say Wade Phillips is too lenient. I guess you cant win no matter who coaches your team.
