I was one of the people who gave us no shot last night, so I admit I was wrong. I feel we are capable of playing at that level all the time because the talent is there. Wade has done a terrible job of motivating this team to get the most out of our talent most of the last two years. Last night, I give him props for having the team motivated and ready to play. I still have my doubts he can keep it up based on his track record but I will gladly eat crow every week if he can continue to have the team as motivated as they were last night. If they keep playing like this then I will be eating crow and loving it while watching the Superbowl.

Romo's sideline interview after the game made it sound like Joe D. should get props for motivating the team, not Phillips.

Well I don't know where it came from but they have been needing it for a long time. We have regularly gotten less from our talent than they are capable of. My biggest gripe with Wade has been that he hasn't gotten the most out of our talent. There are a lot of people on this board who are saying that we need more talent and that is the reason for our failures. While any talent upgrade is a good thing, I believe we have one of the most talented rosters in the NFL right now. We just haven't gotten the most out of the talent. Grown millionaires need motivation as much as anyone sometimes more.

I got the same impression. Maybe Jones should just give Joe the title.
That guy has a fire in his belly.

Did any one else notice how close to JG Phillips was sticking last night?

I would agree. We have one of the best rosters in the game. They still need the HC as a leader, just like any team in any sport does.

Actually I think the credit for motivation goes to Tony Dungy. Romo said that Joe D. showed the team the video of Dungy saying they had no chance. I think that shows the respect the team has for Dungy because I'm sure the Dallas media was pretty much saying the same thing but they never seem to inspire much.

I respect the fact that you came here to eat your crow but really what did you have to lose. If Dallas lost then you could come in here and say hey I said they would do that but since they won you can come in here and say opps I was wrong and still get to celebrate the win. I would call that a win/win situation.

I had ten bucks to lose.

What did you have to lose?

Have you EVER seen ME come back and say I told you so? Ever.

Geeze man. Let's celebrate this win, ok?

my heart said YES WE CAN! my brain said YEAH RIGHT.

After Folk's DOINK, I thought "oh ok, here it comes, here comes the fail" that's just the way things have gone, especially the last 2 weeks where ROmo has played SO WELL but other aspects let the team down. Defense came up big when it had to, I love that.

While I have felt that the glass is half empty all season, I have never come back the day after a loss to say I told you so. I do come back to gripe about coaching after losses. This time I am coming back to admit I was wrong about this game. I still have strong doubts we will have any postseason success based on our track record but like I said I will gladly eat crow every week if we keep winning. Please forgive me if I wait till after the Superbowl to drink the kool-aid!
