Crowd noise at AT&T Stadium

Seattle designed their stadium to pump crowd noise back into it. It borders on shady.
AT&T stadium was designed for more than just games. It was designed as an experience....and thus crowd noise wasn't considered as an important issue....and it shows. Not to mention that Jerry Jones priced out a lot of the less economically fortunate fans and many of the seats are corporation owned, attended by casual fans, or even non-fans who just want the experience. Additionally, due to the prices of season tickets, some resell game tickets to recoup costs to fans of opposing teams. All of this leads to a lot less noise than you'd expect in a full stadium.

It doesn't borderline on shady. I’ve watched several games there. It’s plane and simple, Hawk fans are a crazy loud bunch, and the atmosphere is college football like. It’s exactly what a football game should be like.

Same here, it does get loud. It does not come across as much on TV as it does in Seattle and KC where they pump in fake noise and boost the sound.

Also, and not sure if they still do, the booth at the stadium is enclosed. Maybe they can open the windows. But it is still enclosed more so than other stadiums. So the sound is somewhat muffled.

But the certain fans don't want to hear that as it doesn't fit their narrative.

Also the stadium was designed to funnel the noise down to the field. So in the upper sections you can actually hear the next person to you at times.
I've been to AT&T and the sound is no where close to the sound in Lambeau. AT&T sounds like 50k cheering in a 100K stadium. Lambeau sounds like 100K cheering in a 80 k stadium. All you need to do is look around when you are at AT&T during the game and you see throngs of people sitting on their hands in obvious "cheering" situations. There's no narrative, its just a fact.

I don't doubt that, I seen it also, just not as much as some make it out to be.
Unless in the past 3 years it has become worse. As I sold my PSL's before the 2016 season. But prior to that, I don' think t was as bad as many make it to be.

Fan apathy at AT&T is real. Don't get me wrong, there is a large number of fans at the stadium that are there to cheer on the Cowboys and can get pretty loud, but there is a significant amount of people that are just "there". They never stand and get loud and sometimes you wonder why they are even there.
:hammer:
The " wine and cheese" group, perhaps?. ;)

I have never been there so my information comes from observation watching the Cowboys games on TV. It seems that many agree with me.
Many agree with you because ignorance is not in short supply. I have had season tickets for the entire existence of Jerryworld. I visit the stadium several times every season. I'm telling you, the stadium can get quite loud. If you don't want my opinion then you shouldn't have asked for it. If all you wanted was folks to agree with your inaccurate observation from TV then that's what you should have asked for.

I'm a season ticket folder. I disagree with you. Jerryworld can get every bit as loud as any stadium. Maybe you just haven't been to a playoff game there.

Just finished watching the Seahawks-Rams game and I am impressed by the loudness of the Seahawks fans. I am pretty sure they had something to do with the delay game and missed field goal at the end of the game, and those plays did bring the W.

I reside in Europe, so I witness lots of noise of fans in stadiums, particularly in soccer games. However, you can hardly ever come across a stadium with the capacity of the At&t stadium. I just don't get it. The stadium accomodates almost 100K fans and it is also a roofed venue that should have a noisier atmosphere. Since I have never been there, I really wonder what the problem is.

Why is our home quiet or at least not that loud?

Unless I'm mistaken Turkey is not in Europe or belongs in the Euro union?

Because fans in the local Dallas area SUCK at getting off their arses. They'd rather whine and complain than do something to help the team win.

When I lived in the area and would go to the games it would drive me crazy. If my party would stand and cheer...folks would just look at you funny. I've been to games both in Dallas and at other venues so I can compare.

Maybe a playoff game, but even then it's not nearly as loud as KC, Minn, N.O., Seattle, etc. etc.

After the week 2 game in Washington, I've now been to 21 NFL games at different stadiums. Ours ranks in the bottom 10 for crowd noise from start to finish.

That's the whole point..the stadium can get loud..and during playoff games, in certain spots, the stadium does get loud..unfortunately, that isn't the norm for the stadium..those occasions are rare...

We generally don't have the die hard fans in attendance lol. I see a lot of people on tv looking like they're sitting on their couch and others looking like they don't belong at a football game.

AT&T sounds loud in the Party Pass section, that's all I know.

As far as Seattle, it's easy to sound loud when you pipe in fake crowd noise. I lived there and I witnessed games. Those fans are not constantly standing and screaming as they would have you believe on TV. Sure, they CAN get very loud, but if you get a chance, watch the fans closely when the camera pans around at the height of the frenzy. A lot of fans are looking to their phones, just like at AT&T.

Fans at AT&T can be pretty dumb with the screaming when Dallas has the ball.
In the Saints game it was loud when we had the ball, but quite when the Saints had the ball. The stadium was loaded with Cowboy fans who were trying to drown out the Saints fans, when we were on offense. So the Saints fans were smart enough to shut up when their team had the ball.

Cowboy fans can be extremely dumb at times.

During the regular season most of the time we bring in alot of visitors. Been to a few games, if the team is good expect a large showing. Been to Bengals and Lions as well not nearly as many visitors.

Was that the original argument or are you moving the goalpost? What I understood was it never got loud there.

When you intentional add features to pump noise back into a stadium, then yeah, it borders on shady. Look it up. They did that.

I didn't say or mean that I didn't want your opinion. I respect all the things posted here (except bashing Dak unfairly).

I am not living there like many of you but I am a long time Cowboys fan and I want my team to be successful.

You asked me where that "faulty" opinion came from and I said where it did. That's it. I would be more than happy if the crowd and the atmosphere is as you tell.
