If you think 13 sacks on the year, with the pressures that Ware also gets (14 already I believe) is average then you don't really pay a whole lot of attention to pass rushers.

the point being, he is being paid like a top of the list pass rusher, which he isn't any longer...RS comparing him to Mincey was off-base entirely...if they kept Ware, then there would be other issues with the cap, et al that the team would be experiencing...I love Ware and wish him the best, but people need to move on from him....he would NOT be terrific on this current defense....and, I will be that he doesn't play all of the games (missed one already) and doesn't come near the 13....

DeMarcus Ware is a washed up injury prone bum! It's not like he has Hall of Fame talent, or was released due to a massive mismanagement of the salary cap only to see 20M guaranteed from one of the top front offices in football. He wasn't even able to stop every 4th quarter drive he ever faced with a game sealing strip-sack! You'd really want that guy on this team?

The guy can still play, at a very high level, and he absolutely would have helped this defense.

When I read that we "won the Ware/Mincey trade", that pretty much made everything fair game. Anything can be said in defense of this team.

The truly unfortunate thing is that if we hadn't made so many disastrous salary cap moves during Ware's time here he could easily be on this team right now. His initial signing bonus amount was only 20M and his base salaries in the deal up until 2014 never even topped 8M. If not for kicking the can down the road so many times we could have offered the exact same restructure that Denver had but instead we restructured his deal every year.
