Witten was covered really well as he dragged across the endzone. Then with Dak buying time he backtracked the other way and two Philly defenders ran into each, knocked each other down...and there's Witten all alone.
In one way flukey, but in another, kind of expected. He just keeps moving until he gets open on those busted plays. Learned that over the years, obviously.

They didn't just "run into each other", Witten made that happen. He slammed on the brakes and leaned back, causing the guy covering him to go down right when the other guy was coming across. Don't think Witten didn't know what he was doing, he did. I'm sure he didn't expect it to work that well, but that wasn't an accident.

I felt that we were the better team all along and we were just badly out of sync and that Dak has never seen the wide 9 before. So for the most part, I thought we were going to find a way to win, even when down by 10.

I was a little surprised that Witten was that wide open, but with so many players chasing after Dak, I could see how that would happen. The only thing is that the team was out of sync and couldn't get a rhythm going all night and I just had that notion that there might be a penalty on the play, sorta symbolic of our play last night.

There might have been some slight contact between Jenkins and the other safety coming over, but that wasn't what caused him to fall. Jenkins was chasing Witten toward the left side of the end zone. When Witten saw Dak change direction, he stopped so he could work back to the right side of the field with Dak. Jenkins did not expect Witten to stop, and he ran smack into him and fell. By that time, Dak was already rolling back to the left and it was pitch and catch to the uncovered Witten.

Witten was just watching his QB and moving with him.

I went nuts. Then one of my friends said, "There's a flag!" I was about to have a heart attack when I noticed he was kidding.
But, good lad, the law of the universe mandated a flag!!!
So it wouldn't have surprised me, at all!! Maybe a flag for errant spit from Garrett landing on a ref ...an illegal alignment ... a fart by an O lineman ... something!!!
At this hour I am still waiting for a flag.
No one answer the phone or door, blokes!

I was just stunned. The crafty rookie and the crafty veteran both working their magic independently to connect for a touchdown that both won the game and made the Eagles look foolish was about as good a finish to a game as I can remember. It was a magical moment.

My dad and I were standing directly in front of the tv and just started screaming and hi-fiving. I had trace thoughts about how Witten was so wide open, but I just went with it.

Like most of yall, my first thought was there must be a flag on the play. When there wasn't, I really didn't know how to react:laugh:

I am so used to Garrett blowing games like this I didn't know how to react to an epic comeback win.

So you really want to hear my reaction to Witten's TD? OK, OK, it was: OH, YEAH!!

Sure, I know -- it wasn't especially the most poignant, dynamic and meaningful response possible but I'm merely responding to the OP's request, OK? After all . . . what'd you expect, Shakespeare?

(Sorry, guess I got a tad carried away with the frivolous jubilation and all . . .) ;)

GF was sleeping in my room so I couldn't go as nuts as I wanted to. But it almost didn't feel real.

Dak scrambles ... Throws off balance into the end zone!!!!!

I don't know about you blokes but I went numb.

My reactions were :
1. This is not happening -- no win is this easy
2. There must be a penalty -- Why would Witten BE THAT OPEN???!
3. IT HAS TO BE A BUSTED PLAY AND I DIDN'T HEAR THE WHISTLE.
4. JUBILATION BY COWBOYS PLAYERS -- My goodness, we won!!!

Your reactions, ruffians?
I'm not ashamed to admit....I shango'ed all over myself.
