Current cap space

They were, but with a few trades and other FA signings, as well, some of their own. It took some of that cap money. Still pretty decent shape though.
I see! Thanks for explaining. Yes, I'm liking where we are regarding the cap space. I don't think we've been in this shape for a while.

.....and i don't think I've seen so many starter positions that need to be filled for a while.

Its all relative
Yes, but imagine if we did not have the cap space we have now. We would be way under water, which we have been in more than a few times before. Remember the 5-11 seasons?

Would you rather have the current cap space or have Tank Lawrence and Zack Martin here?

I don't mind these aging players moving on but my issue is replacing them subpar players in free agency. .....and BTW, don't be surprised if we only win 5 games next season......we only won 7 last year.

My question is when a Patrick Queen or Derrick Henry is available why is it automatic that we won't aquire them?

I want us to be balanced in the draft AND FA......but in a meaningful way

I had no problem with Tank and Zack leaving (we needed to get younger at the respective positions). You make a good point that I have been preaching: Why do we constantly replace good players with subpar players (that's not a recipe for improvement).

Honestly, I am pretty sure we will win more than 7 games next year. Players returning from injuries improve the odds of that happening. Dak, no matter what some Cowboys fans think of him, is loads better than Cooper Rush.

Finally, I agree with you about being balanced in the draft and FA. THAT is a recipe for success. It has been proven over and over again.

I was told by the national media we have no money after signing Dak and CeeDee.
Lol, they still can sign anybody that they want to sign. They decided not to overpay for Cupp. That was their decision. They still can sign a veteran and or draft a 1st rounder.
