Wow I was expecting the Jets to win today. AR, Davante Adams, and Garrett Wilson. I guess their defense just couldn't stop Anthony Richardson. He was the x factor today.
I watched about half of it. The problem is Rodgers is cooked, but people think what Brady pulled off in Tampa can be replicated.

Big time shortage of QBs, which is also why the slightly above average QBs get top dollar.

I think that’s going to head the other way soon but that could be just me.

This thread reminds me of how “tanking” for a draft pick could mean nothing.

Jacksonville hit the sweepstakes and happened to be bad enough to get the first pick in the same year that legendary Trevor Lawrence was coming out.

How has that gone? Even the Andrew Luck situation didn’t ultimately work out. How many guys that were taken top five completely busted? Plenty.

I’m not at all defending the Cowboys decision, but this is why a guy like Prescott can demand top dollar.

While Jerry wants to claim that dead coaching money is a “big problem in todays NFL,” it’s much more about the shortage of capable QBs and the fact that they have to be thrown into the fire before ready because of money….and are way overdrafted.

I still think the Cowboys will trade down at least once. I'm advocating for twice. 4 picks on day 2 are needed.

It would be really tough to crack the top 5. I think the Giants game determines this but they would be lucky to stay in the top 10 considering how bad these teams are at the bottom.
The Cowboys will easily make the top 7.

It's not for a draft pick. It's for multiple draft picks. If they are in the 2 spot. The will start with picks 2, 34. 66, and so on. They easily can trade down from 2 for additional picks. And by the way they have money to spend in free agency as well.

Its relative. There are 22 teams with more cap space than us, and 2025 cap projections don't factor in the new deal that Micah Parsons will almost certainly be getting. So, whatever cap space we have is going to be most liksley used to resign our own guys rather than free agents who could come in an upgrade a position.
