I think that's with any team's fan base. I talked to Texan fans and they can't name anyone on the team outside of Foster, Johnson, and Watt. I know more about their team than they do.
I've been to a few games and honestly very few games that I've been to are lather-worthy. And soon as you are all riled up and ready to cheer, oops, TV timeout. or oops the other team converts. There's just a lot of gray area when it comes to the stadium environment. If the product on the field is good enough, then all the gripes about the fans will die.
I agree, I mean the better the team is the more the fans show up and get loud. That place will be rocking in the playoff game. I was there in 2009 and it was very loud against the Eagles. But I have been there at times this year where it was embarrassingly quiet too. Maybe we are just overly diehards and most fans of all teams are fair weather fans?
