Current starting QB's

safe answer is always.....Tom Brady.

thats it....thats the list.

A QB with the nous to ignore Garrett/Linehan and change the play at the LOS. Maybe Brees and Brady, that's about it.

Both system textbook QBs who rely on a short passing game.

A mahomes or Rodgers is needed to overcome garett

Add Rodgers to the lists of Brady and Brees.

I don't think a 2nd-year player can adapt well enough at the LOS to run an offense without the help if his OC. And for a systems QB, Brady's teams sure have flourish using a lot of different stuff.

so who coached them up in 2016

Great coaches during the week. Terrible and predictable on Sunday, it has and will continue to be found out every January. Maybe Moore will have enough control for things to be different, that certainly appeared like it was never going to be the case with Linehan.

Exactly...but what kind of year would he have had with Garrett and Linehan......nothing like he had with Andy.

Exactly, Mahomes needs a coach that let's him be him. Garrett would be trying by reel him in all the time. Luckily for Mahomes, Reid had already coached a guy like him in McNabb. . .

None of the above

People are throwing names out there that do their own thing and have earned that right (exception being Mahomes, he is just talented and his coach uses that) - that isn't something that happens in Dallas post-Romo....

That's the frustrating thing. Garrett and the staff have actually cooked up some very good gameplans on occasion (defensive scheme vs Saints this year was a great example), but in game, their play calls almost always go back to the same handful of plays that the league has mostly figured out, and they never adjust when things don't work.

At this point, you've pretty much got to get a new offense because the Garrett scheme's come up short for 8 years now, but I wonder with Linehan gone and Marinelli probably on the way out very soon, if we're throwing the baby out with the bathwater with some of that in-the-week planning.

Of all the starting QB's which ones could have succeeded under the non leadership of Garrett, and high school simple scheme and game planning of Linehan .
what do you know about football? geez..... another bash garrett thread.....I am glad we finally started one
