It’s amazing that at this point in the season there are so many teams with only 2 wins. There is a chance we might not draft in the top 10 no matter how bad we are.
A lot of bad football this year, going to be many terrible games being played down the stretch.

there really is no way to predict where we are going to pick at this time

I cannot remember the last time there were so many really bad teams

With our upcoming schedule where it is looking likely that both Dak/Lamb will miss some time, it is very possible that we obtain a top 5 selection this year. This could turnaround the franchise needing talent in a hurry. Last time they picked in this range, they landed Parsons and an additional top 100 pick.
The worst thing that we could do right now is win.

This Dallas team with the backup QBs is possibly the worst of them all. NYG, Carolina and possibly playing Washington's 3rd string in Week 18 are the only realistic chances at sniffing a W. The NYG game is probably the best shot at a W. If Carolina hasn't already packed the UHAUL trucks, I think thats a loss for sure.

I think Dallas gets 1 more W and finishes 4-13 and somewhere in that pick 3-6 range.

The problem is there are 10 teams that are in front of them. If the Cowboys win 5 games, I can’t see those 10 teams winning more than 5. I think we might have the rare 5 win team picking outside the top 5 with this draft with no franchise quarterback that teams will be fighting for.

Dallas aint winning 2 more games. The odds are at least some of those teams ahead of Dallas by only 1 game win more.

I don’t know about that. If Bland plays you have another ballhawk in the secondary to go along with Diggs and you can bench Carson. The offense is putrid but if you just let Lance run the RPO with no passes you could actually move the ball. I hope they go winless but weird things happen like 2020 when we almost won the NFC East with Andy at quarterback.

I don’t see much difference in picking from 5 and 8 ish if the QBs are gone. Hunter is arguably the best player in the draft, so he’s probably gone, but someone good will still be available.

LOL I agree but we both know they wont do this. With Rush throwing 2 yard flutterballs, no shot. I guess it comes down to if we think the defense is good enough to win you a couple of games keeping the score in the teens somehow. And maybe Turpin scores on a return. I mean, I guess it's possible. I'll give them 1 win.

Chicago got rid it’s OC today . Can’t get the passing game off the launching pad even with top pick Caleb Williams . Chicago & Dallas will both be HC shopping in Jan . Who would you rather coach Williams or Prescott ?

Yeah, the more I hear about the draft I see why Jerry traded a 4th for Mingo. This draft is not very deep at all and lacks top end talent.

Lance must be horrible at reading defenses and is not picking up the offense. He is light years more talented then Rush.

it was a STUPID trade which most of Jethros were. Now that pick is going to be worth so much.

This draft is deep in RBs and other positions that we need to fill. DTs for sure.
Jethro KNEW when he made that trade that Dak was going to be out for some time if not most of the rest of the season.
So he SHOULD HAVE KNOWN how valuable our picks could be.
Once again a failed GM screwed the team over

Dallas will draft a running back before the 4th round. The Cowboys were probably going to draft a receiver in the 4th round area. Not a smart trade but let’s not act like 4th round picks are guaranteed to be successful. The Cowboys issue is as always they reach in the draft because they never take free agency serious.

A pick anywhere within the top 12 appears likely, picking inside the top 5 isn't out of reach.

No picks are guaranteed successful. Doesn't mean you should throw them away.

We should've been trading off older players instead. Martin and DLaw come to mind.
