Curtis Johnson, 3 penalities on special teams last 2 weeks, what to do?

today was the 3rd penalty that curtis johnson had on special teams, is it time to look at another special teams player, maybe get jason williams some playing time?

most likely mike hamlin will get some pllaying time against the Commanders too with ken hamlins ankle injury

you might see the cowboys sign paul mcquistan tomorrow too with the injury to columbo

They have to clean it up with johnson asap or he cant be active. Its bummer that jason willams is inactive already.

During the game I was hoping come Monday that Wade would cut him for making the same mistakes on returns. That's something Jimmy Johnson would do and maybe it would send a message to the team that we won't tolerate players who make too many mistakes. They should atleast activate J. Williams or Mike Hamlin. Might have to activate Mike Hamlin anyways since Ken Hamlin is hurt.

Nobody has been able to answer this question yet. If this guy is such a red hot pass rusher, why did the Colts cut him over a hammy? I think there is another reason they cut him, and why he went to a school I never heard of. He certainly isnt making it on special teams, so he either needs to rush the passer or be deactived.

yeah, unless Cu-jo is seeing time in defensive packages, there's no need for him to be active if he's not cutting it on special teams

I don't want to blame it all on him, but 2 of the biggest returns that have come against us, and thankfully both having been nullified by penalties, have come with him on the units

you might need to make that move tomorrow, kinda like the cowboys did with signing rossum, and demoting crayton; that woke crayton up

i still think the cowboys might do this or let rossum go if he cant go this week and sign another OT, probably sign paul mcquistin, if they kinda liked what they saw last week;

This guy's doing more harm than good. Time to go. Find someone else to be constantly hurt but slightly less penalized.

Sure, you try to coach mistakes out of him, but you don't give up on young players like him who have real ability. I bet Joe D would tell you he's not ready to bench him just yet.

He's awful out there. Octavian is eons better than him on special teams.

He should be inactive the rest of the season, barring injuries.

I just dont understand the reasoning for suiting Johnson up over Jason Williams and/or Steve Octavien. Supposedly he's the better pass rusher but we dont use him at all on defense. Octavien and Williams were supposedly excellent on STs but yet they're on the bench. Please explain...

Guess we'd need to ask Wade and DeCamillis that.

I dont understand it either. Yesterday we gave up several good returns but were fortunate to get penalties on a couple of them. Last week we gave up a bad TD on a KO return and likewise got a call to negate it. I dont know for sure that Johnson is to blame on any of them, but he's played and Octavian hasnt, and Octavian seemed to be doing quite well on ST.
