If you mean "special" in that you read to him slow, I agree.

I would cut him immediately. He's a liability.

There's a reason he went to a school nobody ever heard of. I doubt it was a prep school for Oxford.

Sure, you try to coach mistakes out of him, but you don't give up on young players like him who have real ability. I bet Joe D would tell you he's not ready to bench him just yet.


That's the problem with the peanut gallery crowd. They have a video game mentality where they think that all players are the built the same, cookie cutter way they build in Madden football. If they don't come out scoring 10 TDs, or sacking the QB 10 times in their first 3 games, they need to be get rid of.

One of the many examples is currently playing for the Patriots. Stanback is now a solid contributor for a legit superbowl contending team, yet the " experts " in here were calling for his head as long as 2 years ago.
