Cut one of these jellyfish now!

Get over this infatuation of cutting some backup will light a fire. It just doesn't work in the NFL now. Too many contracts with big bonuses. When you sign these players to big contracts, you take a risk of the player going through the motions.

The Titans are 6-0 with a backup QB at the helm and I am pretty sure they have some players with big contracts. No?

Guess where the player with one of the biggest contracts on that team is... riding the pine while his backup steers the ship. Wow... Imagine that. A competent backup QB.

Accountability... There is none on this team right now.

Brian Stewart may be the biggest jellyfish of them all. Someone else today eluded to the fact that he got his underpants all bunched up when there was mention of perhaps Dom Capers coming in to coach the defense with him. It's funny that was mentioned. Perhaps he knew that a real coach would have come in and immediately exposed him for the fraud he is. Stewart is the equivalent of a bookmark. Nothing more... nothing less...

I can subscribe to the whole premise of Wade taking over the defensive play calling but IMO Stewart should exit stage left. He is doing no good right now and our defense has clearly moved beyond him. I'm really tired of seeing his totally oblivious mug on the sideline while our defense is getting pounded.

There is a hint of silver lining in the events that unfolded today. Jerry gave Wade the vaunted vote of confidence so expect a Samsonite endorsement by one Wade Phillips if this ship isn't righted very soon. Wade has received a stay of execution but the chair is still firmly in place and the electric bill is well paid.
