You surely didn't want him cut either.I never said that Pollard was better than Zeke.

I wouldn't cut him, but he's exclusively a RB. Shame on the FO for sitting on their azz and not finding a veteran RB to compete with Pollard.

The guy made one mistake?? Cut him?? Your killing me.
I said this LAST week.I know it was an overreaction, but still. I don't think he should be returning kickoffs.
I said this LAST week.
It wasn't just based on this one muff.
He's been bad all year.
He has actually LOST field position to just letting the ball go our of the endzone.
Tony Pollard needs to be either cut or on the hot seat. Last week, his poor decisions on KR put us in massive field position holes. Luckily for him, we ended up winning last week. This week, he had some poor decisions, and then that fumble that set up the safety. It's bad enough that our D is atrocious, but it's worse knowing that we are probably going to have to to travel about 90 yards to score a TD. Not to mention that I don't think he did anything but return kickoffs today. I'd say put Cedrick Wilson and/or Lamb back there on KR, and cut Pollard.
In his place, sign Lamar Miller (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/M/MillLa01.htm). He's a FA, and would be a nice complementary bruising RB to help Zeke when he's tired. Or, sign Isaiah Crowell for the same purpose (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/C/CrowIs00.htm).
True, I did not want him cut. He's had 2 horrendous KR games. If we keep him around, I hope he drastically improves on that or we just keep him at RB.
Bit of an over reaction in my view. I do think he got in some hot water and did not see him getting many snaps in this game. I was disappointed in Pollard play on special teams but far from wanting him cut.
Yeah I think this is just lack of execution on his part. It can't continue though. If there's no progression these coaches have to adapt and adjust fast.
problem isn't the offensive performance.............the problem is that we have too many cap dollars tied up in the offense and going cheap on defense with reclamation projects on the DL and JAGS in the secondary are giving us no chance to win. Dak shouldn't have to put up 40 points every week to win.
Yes, I will concede that cutting him is a bit of an overreaction. Still, he's been poor overall this season.
IF he was giving them anything on offense the KR would be less noticeable but until the OL is fixed they rely on Zeke to block and don't even give Pollard snaps.Exactly, if it was just the one muff, I'd be willing to shrug it off. His decision making this year at KR has been poor.
Oh, I know our D is awful, and we need to fix that too. Still, KR is something I think we can fix more quickly than the D at this point.
In special teams he has played poor. It is up McCarthy and Fassel to work with him to correct these mistakes or put someone else back there on kickoffs.
I don't think KR is the primary or secondary cause of being 1-2. If we had any semblance of a secondary, we would be 3-0.

So he's bad at his only job and that won't work.
Let him be inactive until the OL is back in tact.
Add a RB who is a plus KR and can pass block.
