I think he was stashed. But that’s just my opinion. He was definitely hurt and I am glad they took no chances with bringing him back early. But they could have brought him in for sure.

I think you can only bring 2 back. Were other players a higher priority? I recall some noise along those lines, but don't remember who we did bring back, who we might have been waiting on to bring back, etc.

Yeah I want to say we gave Rico close to 500k to stay on our PS. They don’t have to leave for other teams if they don’t want. But I understand why they leave, it gives them a chance on a 53. And a chance to start. But if it’s me and they pay me that money to stay and learn and train then I am staying. They have plans for Rico.

Coin flip for me for the offense. But Scarbrough has LB size, and I think he's running 1st string on several of the Special Teams squads. That's likely the tie breaker.

I didn't know about Bo on special teams. That definitely makes it more likely they keep Bo on the 53 over Darius, but I doubt that changes the calculations of other teams snapping up Bo on the waiver wire much.

Ok that makes more sense. I wasn’t aware you can only bring 2 back. May have been a issue there. I do think he has already made the team this year. If he shows out tonight with the backup QB then he is a shoe in. Will be going against starters tonight. Gives us a good barometer if he has his blocking assignments down.

Keep Elliot and Rod and FB? Can always shorten up on D-Line when Irving comes back also. We may actually have some trade value with a DE. We are heavy there.

You may want to play, but it's easy to turn yourself into roster churn instead of a developmental player. Laurence Gibson turned us down and bolted to another PS after we cut him? He's been bouncing around practice squads ever since.

The guys who draft you have a vested interest in developing you. Go to another team, and you're a disposable warm body learning a new system.

I understand that you don't think you have a chance to start on our oline, but that's a good crew to learn from and develop with. And if you ever get to play, you've got guys around you who will help you look good.

Rico has yet to play a down of football against anything remotely resembling a starting NFL defense. His preseason-only game highlights have come against future supermarket stock-boys and 7-Eleven cashiers.

Unless that changes soon (?), he’ll remain on the bubble until final cuts. Now in his third year, the fact that he hasn’t been given an opportunity to play with the 1’s during even a single preseason game indicates that his issues are likely not of the physical variety.

The clock’s definitely ticking on Rico’s Cowboys career.

White is an interesting one. He looked bad last time he played. Just too slow in processing. So will teams want him?

I read his story, and liked the possibilities. I don't want to lose him, but think based on his current play, it's hard to see teams lining up to sign him either.

White, Tapper, Rico, Darius, Schulz. Schulz and White are real draft picks, but I'd rather have the other guys, certainly for this year.

Between Olawale and Austin, we have more game day 3rd RB than we did when we kept Dunbar as our 3rd.

I don't see the need for a gameday 3rd just for special teams. Maybe if we like Jackson as our kick returner, but I see no evidence of that. Defenders are usually better special teamers.

I think Bo played in the last preseason game. If he has some serious injury in the meantime, I haven't heard.

This is really his second season. He didn't play last year. In top if that he didn't play in college.

Obviously he needs to clean up his game but I want him running routes in the red zone as beginning spot duties. After last nights debacle, our talent is a lot thinner than I think we realized and TE is an important position in our offense. If our coaches can’t figure out how to get Rico on the field I think it probably shows another example of why we’ve been mediocre for so long and other brand new coaches can turn teams around in a year or two. Imagination....innovation....less clapping
