This is a great site!! I was on another Cowboys forum for awhile (I won't mention names) and it just went down hill, and fast. Came on over to this one and I haven't looked back since!!
Great job all!

I was a member over there but never posted. Always lurked. This place is way better.I spent many years at the Ranch... a few years ago I finally said goodbye to that place, joined up here and never looked back. This place is way better.

We miss you, too, Shunny. For those of you that don't know me, I am a Giants fan. I haven't been posting here for a while due to some issues going on in my life but I have been lurking around. I was a regular here for a while. And as a Giants fan, this is the only board I belong. This place is home for me. If a stinking Giants fan calls a Cowboys board his home, you gotta stop and think about that a little. This place is the best.
@Trouty @haleyrules @Ranching @dallasdave
I missed you guys terribly.
I agree. There is a lot of good information on here. I know I was happy when I found it. The debates are good most of the time because we care. We're not a bunch of fair-weathered fans like you see on Twitter. That's just how I see it and I probably spend too much time on here but I can't help it that I'm a Cowboys junkie.I'm so incredibly greatful to all of you for this site. All of you who post here, debate here, share with us here.
This site is one of a kind, much more depth here than on my Angels and Kings board. There's a real, tangible sense of community here and I adore it.
Reality, you have done a fantastic job. The mods here are exemplary. I love that the mods are a presence here and post as fans, rather than lurk and just fix things when stuff goes awry. They take what they dish, and I never feel spoken down to when engaging with a mod (except for Idgit, he's power-hungry and condescending ).
The posters here make the site. In my opinion, there are posters here who could get hired in analytics for front offices or sports networks. We have some beautiful minds here. Quite a few, actually. And many, many beautiful spirits and souls. People that share intimate details of their lives and get beautiful feedback from other members. Stuff like that makes me smile.
Cheers, CZ!
Salud my friend. Hope you are doing better. We'll get together in the Tavern soon. For those of you that don't know me, I am a Giants fan. Back in the "pre-internet" days, I subscribed to "Cowboys Weekly" to get my news. In the off season, the "weekly" paper became a "monthly" one, so that stunk. I would also stand around and peruse the magazines in stores while my wife did the shopping. The Cowboys were the cover story an awful lot back in the day (still are).I just want to say thanks to everyone for all the contributions on here. Even the negative comments.....
We have 4 weeks and 3 days until the team reports to TC. It is going fairly quick so far.
I was thinking a few days ago, how 30 years ago, 25, heck even 20 of how long, very long the off season was. Or seemed to be with minimal info out there.
After the SB, we got nothing, unless you was local, you had to wait for any news, which was not a lot. Especially pre free agent time period. Then the draft came along, and you had to rely on the papers for any info. I remember looking through the Palm Beach Post, and the USA Today transaction sections, and waiting for the yearly NFL magazines to come out after the draft.
Which the Palm Beach Post at the time had one of the best sports section I had seen up to that point, mid 80's to late 90's when I lived there.
Then we got nothing until TC started, then it was still mostly local stuff about the Dolphins...argh...
With the internet taking off, it helped, and now with discussion forums. it is almost information overload.
By that, I mean 25 years ago, I would read anything I could find, as it was still just getting started. Now there is too much out there to read at times. Which is great.
And then we have the Cowboys Zone, and when there isn't a lot of news or articles out there, you can always find tidbits in here still, even if good or bad opinions depending who and what you agree or disagree with. It is something to help pass the time.
So thanks to all.
Damn...get mushy much, Trouty?I'm so incredibly greatful to all of you for this site. All of you who post here, debate here, share with us here.

Miss ya in the beer thread Hope things go good for ya !!! Still room to jump on the Cowboys bandwagon and throw those Giants under the wagonFor those of you that don't know me, I am a Giants fan. For me, the worst time was when I was on a Navy ship in the Persian Gulf during the first Gulf War and my "Weekly" never came at all. I would wait like a vulture for our once or twice per week "mail call" hoping beyond hope that my weekly would show up. It never did. Once I got back to civilization, I contacted them and asked why I didn't get my Weekly and they said they simply screwed up (this was a 10 month deployment at sea). In the end, they gave me one free year, but that came nowhere near making up for absolutely no news for almost a year. Nowadays, I'm pretty sure sailors on ships have access to internet and satellite TV, etc. I'm happy for them!I did the same thing. LOL.
When living in Florida, I would wait until I got my DCW and when it went monthly, it sucked.
Yep. CZ makes my wife realize I'm not so crazy after all....
