Just listening to Red's presser on 105.3 The Fan. He said D-Law should start practicing this week. That's awesome.

We could use all the help possible, because right now, we look good, so why not some more icing on the cake?

I saw last week where they expect him to be working in practice this week. That would give him 2 weeks of practice before he will be able to come off the pup

Agreed. We can afford to make him strictly a pass rushing specialist until he gets his legs under him. By week 11 or so he should be rolling.

His motivation to come back should be very high with how well the team is doing. Success breeds success, as well as the desire to contribute to it.

10-15 quality snaps on the pass rush would be huge for the Cowboys right now.

Last week, on "Talking Cowboys," Mickey and Broddus said that DeMarcus was running "real hard" during individual practice that they assumed he'd be practicing with the team real soon. Glad to see it's about to happen. I'm invisioning DeMarcus as being that Charles Haley type addition to a team needing that one missing pass rush element that puts them over the top. If he can provide any serious threat of a pass rush, he and Crawford will be impossible to stop. Throw in Brent as an immovable 1-Tech DT and we'll be formidable on both offense and defense. Can't wait for this team to truly come together.

he was running around pretty good last week per Mickey. Looked 100%

Unbelievable! That injury looked bad when I saw it. Must be nice to be young and heal quick like that. LOL

Great, I would doubt he will be ready to start right away but getting playing time in pass situations would be big right now. Spencer also is starting to show that he is regaining his game legs. My hope is this defense will start producing more from the DE spots with these 2 back in the lineup

Just to keep updates in same thread. Josh Brent is allowed to start practicing week 9 (two weeks) and would be available to play in week 10 in London against Jacksonville. Bruce Carter probably this week or next will be back.

Great idea. Maybe a mod can change the title to this thread?

I think the Charles Haley update is named R McClain.

Watched NFL Live. When they mentioned injuries throughout ghe NFL, I didn't hear anything about Free. Unless Red is being like Belicheck here.

Thanks Texas Pete...haven't seen many things mentioned about it except it was a "foot injury". Did see in one of these threads that there were Tweets about Free being in a walking boot and possibly being out a couple of weeks. Nothing confirmed so I guess we just wait and see if Garrett pulls a Hoody or if he lets the cat out of the bag.

Hope Free is ok and won't miss time. The line is really operating at a high level. Their continuity is great and it is just gelling with the addition of Martin, meaning it should improve the more the guys play together. Scary thought for opposing defenses.
