I think that the Rams had a lot to do with that and how they ran their offense yesterday.
That looked like the Colts game where the Rams offensive line opened holes more than half the time.

If it’s your opinion that Lawrence was “no where” the 2nd half of the season then it’s clear you don’t know what you are watching. Watch the game and stop looking at the stat sheet.

His value just went down by half. That’s where I’m paying him. DTs are the new DEs in this league now,and where they should be looking to allocate the bigger resources. That’s something Dallas is going to have to change,their value in DEs. He’s still a good player,but that position doesn’t have the same impact it used to hold,and especially for a guy who did absolutely nothing in their biggest game.

It especially has no impact when you decide to get undersized tackles to go with the end's. The irony here is that Marinelli's philosophy is based on the idea that he likes smaller defensive tackles who can get upfield quickly and sack the QB.

Cowboys have an old timer as DC that does not value the interior DL the way many of us do in terms of resources and talent.

He wants the edge rushers at a premium but stubbornly ignores the need for a premium DT with size that can push the pocket and cause havoc up the middle.

Hopefully they learned from getting pushed around all game but I will believe it when I see it!

DLaw is good but not great and does disappear during games especially yesterday, that decision will be a tough one in terms of contract numbers.

The whole DLine seemed at tick slower last night than in recent weeks as far as getting near the passer.

Your typical fan knew very well that when you pressure Goff, he gets rattled. That was on tape of late and clear.

So...we aren’t getting home with four, or even close really. Where were the adjustments to do so, or did they just give up? Yeah sure they gouged us on the ground, but some big passes were what continued drives. If you replace two third down completions with sacks, it’s a very different outcome.

This team is continuously not prepared. They make a game plan and if it doesn’t work, they get beat. Other teams seem to scheme around weaknesses via in game adjustments while we are doing the same damn thing. I just don’t see how that can ever be overcome when you get to this point of the season, and probably goes a long way toward explaining why we can’t get past this point...and becoming more and more evident that we never will. Not as long as ego boy insists on having a coach that will work in conjunction w his antics.

Well that’s why they have to change how they value line positions. DEs is yesterday’s game. Dominating DTs is today’s game,and you can’t dominate a o-line with DTs who can’t control their gaps. We got parted like the Red Sea up the middle all game,and until they get with the program and bring in the necessary talent needed,this isn’t going to stop happening. This is what I don’t like about Rod,he favors overachievers to compensate for shear talent,when they should just draft the required player to plug those leaks and be done with it. They did get better depth for DT this year,so I’ll give them that,but it’s still not good enough to disrupt a team like LA’s offense.

Spending $20 million a year on Lawrence is meaningless if you don't markedly improve the defensive tackle positions ; against the truly good teams , last night will just become an endless loop in the losses they will suffer................................

Yep,we got the heart,but not the skills to go with it. That’s as maxed out as these guys can play at,and they played their butts off this year. But It’s simply not enough,and Dallas has got to reevaluate some things on philosophy.
