I am hopeful that Kiffin & Marinelli are smart enough not to play a soft Tampa 2 this week against a QB and offense as hot as Philly's. Foles and McCoy would just pick them apart and dominate time of possession. In this game, I would rather see Church at single high safety, Carr/Scandrick/Claiborne in press man underneath, and Wilcox walked up as the 8th man in the box to stop McCoy and blitz Foles. Let Foles beat the corners deep with perfect passes. Other than D Jax, their WRs do not scare me. If Foles hits on a few long passes, so be it. I would rather that than "death by a thousand paper cuts" underneath. Dictate, do not get dictated to.

This is the opposite of the philosophy of this team. We have even been told as much.

I never said it was going to be the same. My logic applies to the success we had on defense that day, which is related to the topic at hand. That logic sure beats the 15 games prior to this one you used.

This Defense is Terrible and it will continue to be that way tomorrow. I don't even know what this spat is about. If you're arguing that our defense just owns the eagles or something and basing it on that one game 9 weeks ago that's cool hahaha. This is the worst defense i've seen the Cowboys ever put on the field and it wont change tomorrow, sadly.

I dont think there are any illusions of this defense throwing a shutout but holding them to less points that the Cowboys isnt that far fetched.

I get it i'm not the most optimistic person hah. I just don't see Kyle Orton and the boys pulling this one out. The Eagles have been playing quite well as of late and the Cowboys well, you watch the games. Leads me to be quite pessimistic. Like every other Cowboy game ill watch it and hope we win.

I can understand the frustration and I imagine that everyone here know were are clearly underdogs. Foles has absolutely improved since we saw him last but that that about the closest way to gauge our potential for stops. Our D has been run through more times than my sister but Im not buying into the Eagles being some unstoppable force, especailly after seeing Matt Cassel look like Dan Marino and Joe Montanas love child.

The only point I was trying to make was in response to your post in which you mentioned all 15 games prior to today, being bad on defense. I threw that game in the debate, since that game was our best performance on defense this season and it happens to be our opponent tonight. Will it be a repeated performance? Most likely not, without Lee. I still expect our DB's to match up well and IMO what happens in our front seven will be the deciding factor.
