Let me see: The guy shows up every play for 4 years, having outplayed is rookie contract since his first year. You don't hear anything from him but professionalism. He gives it is all and is still doing so currently. But just because he gets excited that his about to make more money that he ever dreamed of in his life, and shows a smile thing his adopted daughter wouldn't have to work for money her whole life, and his whole family that likely grew up modestly can have all the money they want to lavish, means he's money greedy. Okay!:bang2:
As for those who say these guys don't deserve the money. Well, they deserve it a lot more than lottery winners do. What are the chances that you're gonna grow to be 6'4, 260, have the athleticsm enough to run close to a 4.4 forty and have close to a 40 inch vertical leap, have a sport created to fit those athletic abilities of yours and the sport has a big enough consumer interest to create the revenue to provide a livelihood for so many athletes, and actually be so much better than all these athletes from different backgrounds that you get to make the amount of money that Ware is about to.
To me, it's a more goal driven way of hitting the lottery. I'm the one guy who goes on basketball courts and has more athleticism that everyone else. Yet I've never won anything in basketball and never played it organized. Mainly because I started too late due to growing up in Nigeria and my mom not being privvy to the opportunities that sports can afford. And just to think that there are all these athletes out there with way more athleticism than I will ever have, way more skills for the sports, dedication, enrollment in it their whole lives (the academies etc from when they were 6.....), dedication, blood, sweat and tears. I think they deserve all the money they can get
