guys ive said this for along time, and ill say it again, the Raiders are the dumbest team in the league, almost every year they lead the league in penalties, they could be 3-0 right now, but they have hurt themselves with dumb penalties, lets hope their trend continues this week.

as for the game, traditionally most teams want to try and take away the run, in this situation, i think i would sacrifice the running game a little just to try and keep their WR's contained with more double coverages. make them have to drive the length of the field, and not get any easy TD's, make them earn it, and also make them have to play mistake free football, something thats hard for them to do.

The Raiders lead the league in penalties almost every year, but there may be a reason for that other than being "dumb".

They do commit their share of stupid penalties, but I'd say their reputation proceeds them or maybe Tags true dislike for Al Davis shows through here.

They lost one game on a Moss offensive PI in the end zone that negated a TD. I don't know how many watched that game, but that was the worst calls of the season so far. I dislike Moss almost as much as any player in the league, but bogus is bogus. He never seemed to have that type of call go against him when he was wearing purple.

Don't think the NFL has it in for Davis? Find any other team with even a modestly comparable schedule difficulty wise for the first three games.

Oh good grief... Playing the Pats right off the bat wasn't easy, but after that they've played a division opponent and a team from the standard interconference division assigned to them, which this year happens to be the NFC East. Where's the conspiracy?

I think it's a bit juvenile to call the Raiders "dumb". Yes they've commited a lot oof penaties, but penalties and other metnal errors by our own team's veterans played a big role in causing us to fall behind in our two previous road games, and botching the Washington game. If we continue with our mistakes, then any mistakes they make can easily even out.

More importantly for this coming game is this: Raiders fans always gear up when the Raiders play the Cowboys. And given that we're Norv Turner's old team I'm sure this is one game he really wants - especially to end their 0-3 slide - he'll do whateve is necessary to prepare his team for this one.

If the Raider players respond to their coach's and fans' motivations this will be a tough game for us. It's another road game and those are tough to win. Given that we've won 2 for 2 so far, the odds are a bit against us for going 3 for 3. This is especially true for this game where Randy Moss' strengths play into Dallas' biggest weekness - secondary coverage.

Finally, you can say what you want about Norv Turner as a head coach (good or bad), but he's a genius of an offensive coordiantor, especially in the passing game. If he's orchestrating the Raiders' offense on Sunday then we'll have a tough test to overcome defensively. Add the road-game factor and this can be an easy loss for us.

And we should overlook them, right? Moss can beat us all by himself. He has proven this time and again. We need to avoid stupid penalties as well.

For that matter, we could be considered a DUMB team. Look at the killer mistakes that we have made so far, in crucial situations.

YES! this is the perfect way to play the Raiders, make them have to hold the ball as long as they can, try to run on us. If they're forced to play the length of the field, they have more chances for turnovers. The one difference I'd like to see us blitzing that bad oline some. I might expect another game that's very close into the 4th.

I would like to see us blitz often and keep their O under pressure. They will crumble and make mental errors.

I wouldn't underestimate Collins. He has a history of burning us. So does Moss. I'm concerned with Jordan catching the ball out of the backfield.

This is where Burnett needs to be on the field.

I just know that if you give Collins and Randy time we are in trouble. Let's roll the dice a bit.

Key to us winning....getting a early lead. Making Oakland more 1 dimensional.

Moss is only a threat deep...he does not go over the middle. Make Oakland drive the ball 80 yards on 12-15....they will implode.

Do not give Randy anything deep.

He went across the middle against the Eagles...

NEVER, EVER, allow a team to run on you! Once run is established, your entire defense is prone to pass action and big plays (Moss is pretty good at that without help). You have to make the team one dimensional and then you can tee off on the pass rush (Please disguise our blitzes better). Your defense will be on the field way to long and you'll also lose Time of Possession. It also put pressure on your offense to feel like it needs to score on every single possession since they don't get the ball often and that leads to more 3 and outs and put more pressure on the D (you get the idea).

NEVER, EVER allow opponents to run on you!! Should have learnd that lession years ago when Deuce torched us for 200+ yds and Phili O shredded us in pieces.

I agree Dallas just like every team has to stop the run. I know most are concerned with Moss and for good reason but Dallas can't allow the raiders to establish the run and with Norv Turner running that team I can promise you he will try to establish the run and if they can then we will be in trouble.

i didnt say to let them run wild on us, i said that we should focus a little more on the pass coverages vs the raiders, make them have to drive the whole field to score, last thing we need is a bombs away game with our safeties having to cover Moss or Porter deep. i can still remember Moss burning us deep pretty often when he was with the Vikes.

I agree just that Raiders have ran the ball 62 time they have passed the ball 63 times so Norv is not some pass happy coach he will try to establish the running game with Jordan and Crockett. I think Dallas has to use a double on Moss but everything else has to be played straight up
