Da'Boys and Preseason Scoring Juggernauts

The preseason is usually a poor indication of performance going forward.

The last time I can remember a team separating during preseason was the year the Rams and Trent Green went on a rampage and were lighting everyone up in preseason games.

Then Green went down to a season ending injury and Kurt Warner stepped in and made history.

Aside from that one example I can't recall preseason ever translating to real success.
How about the year the Lions went undefeated in preseason just to go 0-16 in the regular season lol?

There is no way in Hades i would pay to go see any PS game. I guess if you have some money laying around and don't know what to do with it, then knock yourself out. Victory is unimportant and that is how they are treated by both teams' coaches. Player evaluation and one on one matchups are what they are looking at. And you can do that better yourself watching it on TV instead. Even going back to the Landry years, some of his best teams would be lucky to win one or two games, and that was when there were six exhibition games with 14 regular games. Imagine that, almost half of the regular season.

Great post T-RO, although I'm not sure everyone caught the irony.

Cousins is totally nuts.

You are belittling a former Cowboy coach who totes a career NFL coaching record of 64–47–1, after putting together #1 defenses for our Cowboys? I have no idea how you managed to load your gun with so much silliness, but you fired em off like Scarface heading towards a balcony dive. This was just one of your numerous gems:
"Zimmer just threw the backups out there with no preparation or something"

Your post was steaming pile of nonsense. All of it. Cousins is a top 20 QB, wildly rich with a super family, great health and massive contributions to multiple communities. You criticize things and people that are adept at swimming in deep waters. You are struggling to stay afloat in the children's pool.

Scrubs don't win Super Bowls. Playmakers do, and we've been sitting ours to keep our powder dry. (Not that I think we are SB contenders)

Relax. Enjoy. Kick up your feet. Preseason games mean nothing.

Actually, preseason games determine whether you have sufficient depth or not. We do not. Ever. And when our non-scrubs get hurt, we see that on full display.

I agree with you that the preseason shines a million light bulbs on the depth of a teams. The reality is that it's very, very difficult to load up quality depth at certain positions, and almost all teams struggle stacking quality depth at QBs, corners, o-lineman and get-there pass rushers.

everything I said was true. The Vikings were completely disinterested in the preseason game, zimmer is o his way out as the coach of the Vikings and cousins is a nut who is a public health hazard.
