I love how people ignore how Gallup uses his body to shield the CB from the ball and then accelerated at the end of the route to separate and catch the ball. Gallup even gives him a small shove with his arm. Enough to keep space but not draw a PI.

Pretty much textbook what a receiver is supposed to do in that situation.

But yeah, it was just a bad play by the CB.

asinine.

Isn’t it amazing how Dak can toss 30 yard passes with touch and accuracy when he has a receiver who can separate downfield? Say it ain’t so!!! Isn’t that something he’s supposedly unable to do? Or was I dreaming?

You could see that at the last moment, Gallup pushed off just a little to get the separation. But thats what all the good ones do ever so slightly. Great timing and very smooth.

I had to upgrade my cable as soon as I went to put the game on and noticed I didn’t have NFL network.

I coughed up the $10/month.

Though it comes with nfl red zone too. So I’m gonna need it anyway.
I gave up on cable and went with Sling

No Dez hate at all. But did you miss the part when Gallup separated with a burst to track the ball?
So does that mean he "threw the receiver open"? I was told Dak could not do that. He did put the ball in between the trailing defender and the safety. I thought it was going incomplete and then Gallup jumped out and got it. Good play by the receiver.

The DB was never able to make a super solid play because the ball was thrown so well.

Why not? Romo's deep passes seem like lobs rather than darts. Thus the reason why Romo was the perfect QB for Dez.

If you mean bombs by deep passes, then they usually should be "lobs" or having arch and not darts. Darts are mostly reserved for intermediate passes.

Pass should have been knocked away. Would have liked to see more air under it. Thought it was a better play by Gallup than Dak but if this becomes routine then we’ll just have to get used to that’s how Dak throws it. All TDS count the same

Right now I’m in the better to be lucky stage on that pass.

You must’ve been watching some other game. The pass was a thing of beauty. In stride and on target. TD.

Luck. Lol. Am I the first to say it on this thread. Dak is gonna be fine. It’s the scheme and playcalling I am afraid of. Last night looked a lot like last year. Not much different but the WR. But it’s preseason game 1. The vanillaest of the vanilla.

What game are you watching? They didn’t get a sack but was all over Jimmy G. And they stopped the run effectively.
I agree. This linebacker group once SLee gets healthy can be as good as any I've seen in a long time. Only a sample size, but the defense on the whole looks pretty stout. I AM LOVIN' THAT TEAM SPEED!!!

The surest sign that this Qb is weak is when threads are started about a 25 yard routine preseason pass. If we started threads about every Romo 25 yard Real season Td pass it would blow up the site

This thread is laughable

So, I guess no one ever started a thread about a routine Romo pass in the preseason. I guess we couldn't simply query the database and return a myriad of past threads about..."ZOMG! Did you see Romo throw that bomb to Dez on 3rd and 10 from their own 40 yard line on the first drive of *insert meaningless preseason game here*!!!.

Yeah...mmmk.

A perfectly accurate pass to a receiver who was well covered and the defender lost the play.

Sure hope all the CBs do that this year.
It happens all the time. It’s no harm no foul when our CBs lose the ball tho. It’s a part of the game. There’s no doubt that the ball was thrown perfectly. Although you all just hate to admit it.
