Twitter: Dak against playoff teams

Actually, that's wrong. Many of us have been stating that for years. There was no narrative change in that regard for many of us. Some won't acknowledge he's good at all though. That's only a vocal few. And I think Dak has turned that corner and we'll see in him a QB that won't start off slow in the playoffs again. It's absolutely true that his first half in most of his playoff games, he sucked. The rest of the team did him no favors either. Those reported stats? Came after the other team ran up the score and took their feet off the gas.

Dak played different last year though. I'm optimistic about his playoff play in the future now.
Bob had a thread showing the statistics on Dak and offense slow starts. It's real.

The D has been awful in playoff games and rightly deserves to be culprit number one.

That said— Dak’s QB rating alone doesn’t explain the whole story. He has started slow in several first half performances and failed to score or sustain drives. This puts tremendous pressure on an already suspect D.

Throw in some horrid INTs (like his pick 6 against GB) and it isn’t just a bad throw or a turnover, it is absolutely morale killing and back breaking.

You just can’t do that. Far too often, Dak and the offense start slow and inefficiently.

Is he the main problem for a 2-5 playoff mark? No. But can he play a hell of a lot better? Yes.
I hope our brain trust of OC's can bring in some new wrinkles to the offense. There is 20 games of Tape on our offense now and what we like to do. That would lead me to believe we might take a step back next year if we cannot adjust on the fly.

And it says a lot about this list.
i think it says more about how he does not have to do it all himself. Football is a team game, yes your QB needs to do his job, but if the Defense and rest of the offense are not, your stats will not be as good and outcome of the game will not be in your favor.

There is the teddy bear! Now, Rockport, show us on this little teddy bear where the bad man touched you.

I’m not saying Dak is Dan Marino. I’m saying if your only standard for success is winning a Super Bowl, and that what was presented, then that same standard says Dan Marino wasn’t successful either. If that conclusion sounds wrong, then the standard is incomplete.

I’m comparing logic. Not necessary the QB’s.

Make sense?
but you are arguing something nobody's saying. There is no single thing that rates a QB. The SBs can be a deal changer. Like when you get 7 it ends the debate. Look at Brees. His stats are through the roof. How often is he ranked GOAT? That would change if he had more SBs.

You know talking in generalities doesn't really address anything.

Post of the month, and refreshing to see a 100% objective look at our QB and the team. I have said since Day 1 that he is a 4th round pick, and should never have been expected to carry the team alone to a Super Bowl. There is nothing wrong that, and no reason he cannot do as such, but he needs more help than a few others
Nobody expects him to do it alone. Why do people say this?

I get that. I’m just saying I see why those stats may look like that because his stats these last few years have taken a hit. Which is in part why they missed the playoffs the team is getting worse therefore his play is. I’d still take him over anyone including Josh.
Why does nobody give Allen a break for the team around him.

I think you can be critical and be a lover honestly. Doesn’t have to be either or.
I think NFL players deserve to be critiqued as much or more than praised. I especially hate when people give them passes for antisocial behavior. An NFL player hits his spouse and people don't care. How defenseless is a woman vs an NFL player?

It’s impossible to have any discussion about Dak that doesn’t instantly become about seven games. Or, actually, about five

And then, the reality is the it’s only the first halves of those five games and a pair of interceptions

The sum total of the Zone’s take on him is boiled down to that.
Or people finding something else besides that to blame.

Post a video of Dak running out of a burning building with a soot stained toddler under each arm and I guarantee you that a comment about his playoff record would land in the first ten replies

It would get a bunch of likes too
Can I see that pic and the comments? Get real seems to fit here.
