Where is TWill in the Redzone........just wondering. We have more than Dez and Witten to look at.....don't we?

People remember the Dez Romo made look great. Romo made alot of guys look great. Dez hasn't changed he is still the same he has never been really fast and he doesn't run great routes. But you throw it up and let him go get it thats what he's good at. Dak needs to just throw it up and let Dez go get it. Dak is not the second coming of Rodgers just yet. The season is young everybody played poorly today even witten dropped a TD. Give it a few weeks hopefully we are not as bad as we looked today.

Well in defense of Dak.....Romo and Dez took some time to get going as well.....it had a rocky road at one point too.

Looking at Packers/Falcons.....Our WR crew is underutilized, our coaching lacks innovation, or we don't have a versatile WR crew like those teams......several WRs to go too.

I don't think there has been any forcing the ball to Dez. The big issue is that their sight adjustments are off. Dak sees things differently than Dez does.

Just curious, but why didn't you believe it?

I did not believe it nor I did. Although I follow the sports media, it is mainly for news and entertainment.. They are all like parrots, one says something and everybody repeats the same thing. Them experts have been exposed too many times .. although they know the Xs and Os, they do not have team assessment ability, and they talk just like fans ..

To be honest I only actually listen well to Jimmy, Dilfer, and Michael Irvin (for homerism :))

Norm Hitzges just said on the postgame that Dez isn't a top 20 receiver in the NFL anymore.

They are finally coming to the same conclusion most of us did two years ago. Dez has value, but he would be a much better #2 which is what he really is. He is a possession receiver. That's about all.

Dak need to go back to what won him 13 wins last year, and that's throwing to the open man, and protecting the ball.

A lot of us don't speak on it b/c we're emotionally attached to Dez and Dak....especially younger fans.

But one thing I noticed about Romo, whenever he broke the huddle, he'd often times give Dez extra instructions.....I know I'm not the only one who noticed this trend? I wonder if Dez misses this aspect of having Romo at QB.
Good point Zordon!

Top 20?

I don't even think he's a top 64 receiver anymore.

He was good because he was a freak jump ball receiver and dynamic running after the catch. He doesn't have that talent anymore.

He's slow, a lazy route runner, and a mental midget.

I would cut bait after this season, he's done.
Ouch

Just last week I was saying at least Dez demands the other team's top corner and that helps the other WRs get open. But in this game, the Broncos had their third corner on him most of the game. He is no longer a #1 receiver outside of jump balls on 1st and goal. This team is in trouble against defenses with good slot corners that can take out Beasley.

Dak is very off. But playing two top five defenses and one on the road will do that to you.

Playing another one when the Cowboys play Green Bay on October 8th in 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I do not expect a win.

I'm going to say it again..

In Romo's last year starting, both Dez AND TWill were in the top THREE in GI ROUTES in this offense and that year, Dallas was bottom four in pass attempts.

How people say he is a poor route runner or lazy and can't run good routes are speaking nonsense. Dallas SECOND WR ran top three in go routes.

This passing offense and it WR were designed to challenge the defense deep and most teams use to play deep cover 2.

Show me a slant or a comeback Dez didn't run well. To me it's the offensive plan as much as Dez. Why not more slants? Rubs? Picks?

We run a high school offense. And defense a well. We need elite talent everywhere to get it done.
