We lucked out twice at QB recently... Romo being undrafted and Dak in the 4th, pretty much robbery.
Dak is doing a super job, but this is so misleading.
Most of the "all-time greats" were drafted by the worst teams in football. They inherited teams that needed their entire rosters purged of garbage players. That takes time.
Look at Aikman. How many players were left from his rookie team when they won the Super Bowl in 1992? Jeffcoat, Irvin, Newton, Tuinei.........is that it?
Dak inherited the greatest offense that any rookie QB has ever played with in the history of football.
That is true but we were coming off a 4-12 season, and he was taken in the fourth round. Rodgers took over a team that made the NFC Championship game the year before.
The 2015 defense was 16th in points allowed, 17th in yards allowed, and 17th in points allowed per drive.A 4-12 team that started Joseph Randle, didn't have Dez Bryant for much of the season, and posted the worst defensive numbers in NFL history.
He HATES EVERY SECOND DAK'S UNDER CENTER.Waiting for risen to chirp in with his Wentz comments....
yeah that might be the dumbest sentence i have read on this board....and that's saying a lotHe HATES EVERY SECOND DAK'S UNDER CENTER.
Remember that.
Risen is a putz.
Common sense facts aren't allowed here, read the rules"The greatest offense that any rookie QB has ever played with in the history of football" went 4-12 & ranked 22nd in yards the year before he was drafted.
Roger inherited a pretty good team also. I guess his "level of play" was misleading also????Dak is doing a super job, but this is so misleading.

They didn't start as rookies. That was the point.Roger inherited a pretty good team also. I guess his "level of play" was misleading also????
You could say the same for Romo. Guess he was just lucky to start off with such a great team????
Unless I am completely out to lunch and that could be true as I have been working nights the last few weeks, your point was Dak inherited a very good team unlike other rookie QBs. Whether Staubach or Romo were rookies is not important; they inherited very good teams and still proved to be great/very good QBs in the long run. This continuous questioning of Dak's abilities and always explaining away his proven ability to lead the team to wins is bizarre at this point. I could understand the questions last year but with the obstacles and tougher schedule this year, the guy should be given the "benefit of the doubt" at this point. They didn't start as rookies. That was the point.
And Roger was 27 years old.
Great pointDak is doing a super job, but this is so misleading.

It should have been noted in the article that Prescott's rating is 15 points higher than the current league average, while Marino's rating was 32 points higher than the league average in 1984.
